Met up with @RickRack who bought my old 15" wheels. Was great to catch up and am looking forward meeting his SEiGHT one day.

The nose cone on a SEiGHT is incredibly difficult to remove due to the cowling around the radiator, so to make life a little bit easier, I

After I replaced my front wishbones I knew I needed the wheel alignment checked and so I booked it in with Northampton Motorsport. Was very surprised to learn that the car only weighs 680Kg. I expected it to be a lot more given t

So what to do with the gaping big hole left by moving the fuel filler? Fill it up with a 3D printed blank and cover it with a V8 Westfield gel badge.
Big thanks to @Steve (sdh2903) who led the way with this and pointed me to someone who can create these gel badges in whatever colour/design you like.

Having removed the rear arch protectors I need to fill the holes that are left behind and then I'm planning to use vinyl wrap to create new arch protectors, just like I did on my previous Westfield. I'm using knifing putty to fill the holes and then sand it flat again using various grades of sanding paper.
Yes, it looks awful, but it's flat and the wrap will cover it all

On recommendation of Jody, I sourced an idle control valve / stepper motor which controls the idle by passing air into the plenum chamber upon startup but because my rocker covers where installed in such a way that the hose connecting to it would have to run the long way round, I went down the rabbit hole of swapping the rocker covers around. This meant cleaning them, installing new gaskets, renewing filter, o-rings, plugs, leads,

When I fitted the seats I used some black PVC edging, but this kept on coming off, so this time I've used some edging that has better grip. Also went round the whole seat instead of just the sides.

For a while I was planning to replace my rear lights with something homebrew as I just can not find a nice aftermarket set that I like as much as I did on my previous Westfield. Having already replaced my fog and reverse lights with those from the LED AutoLamps 82 Series, I thought maybe I should do the same for the indicators and stop/tail lights...?
The old units are quite wide, and these round lights are slightly taller than the spac

After a lovely easter breakfast with the family, set off with Q-jr to meet up with Paul to drop off some tools that he'd forgotten to take home. About a mile in, the engine shut off and we had to coast to a stop in a quiet road. When turning the ignition the usual 2s f

New year, time for action. Having had a tiny coolant leak for ages it was time to sort it out. But how the heck do you get the nose cone off when the radiator is part of it? Turns out it relatively easy. Just undo the top 3 screws on the duct and the 3 bolts holding the cone itself in place. Access to the top 2 bolts was a challenge, but with the help of @Nemesis quickly sorted.
The number of joins is in

Last week discovered to my great horror an oil spill on my drive the size of Exxon Valdez left after a drive. After inspection it turned out to be squeezing oil past the oil pressure sensor, but even after tightening it, it still came dripping out. Got some Permatex 59214 High Temperature thread sealant and re-assembled it all today. So far it seems to have done the trick, but I need to take it on a trip (any excuse) first to ensure

Used the 3D printer again to fabricate a phone holder. Already had a .stl for the iPhone 8, and then designed a new clip that just slides between dash and scuttle. Then fitted a USB charger so I can take it for a longer journey without worrying the phone nav runs out 😄

Look what the parcel man delivered today! The JK Composites seats I ordered a month ago; a standard N4246 for the driver side and a modified N3946 for the passenger side to fit in the reduced space that that side has. Keith stretched the area for the hips to be as wide as possible within the dimensions I had passed to him. A perfect fit!

Looking at the results of my spray painting and tears are welling up. It's just the wrong time of season for spray paint; unless you can do it inside in a warm room maybe. Just doing some stock taking for winter.
The chrome has got to go. The cosmetic roll bar has got to go. The spare wheel has got to go. The chunky rear lights have got to go. The interior has got to go. The windscreen and doors... they may actually stay, although the chrome has got to go .
And then there is of course the maintenance, so will be ordering all fluids and filters to replace. Got to keep myself busy!

Whilst on holiday in France, with very little to do, I started to reflect on life and really missed having a V8 in it. So a plan hatched; sell the Westfield, and buy a Seight!
I present to you: Barney
I'd spotted him on Ebay, but the auction disappeared before I sold my car. On the off-chance it wasn't sold, I messaged the seller. And as luck would have it, the original buyer had pulled out. So I agreed t
