July 1st, 2017 Spend: £0.00   Paul popped round with his extensive tool kit and we removed the head and inspected it for damages, marks and other clues.  At first the head gasket seemed ok, and so did the pistons and valves except for a clean(ish) section on cylinder 1.       Cylinder 1 also appeared to sit a little lower than it's counterpart 4.                           Af

June 4th, 2015 Spend: £3.17   First the fuse had blown on the starter button (my own design, so my own fault), then for further humiliation I had to pay £3.17 for an assortment of replacement fuses and even then the car would just about start again. September 5th, 2020 Spend: £23.78     Bought a new Racetech rear view mirror as the one I had bought previously was a convex glass (wrongly advertised as flat glass) and it looked like every car behind me was up my *rse.   September 12th, 2020 Spend: £0.00   Had the tiniest of coolant leaks on the thermostat bypass side.  Emptied it of coolant and investigated, but can't see where it is coming from, other than assuming it comes from the weld on

Spend: £4,200   Even after I bought, spend, broken down, spend some more and sold my previous Westfield, the urge to own another one kept coming back, like a bad cold you just can't shake. So having taken care of the car situation by having a family car to drive to work in and a small city runabout for Mrs Q, there was money left in the kitty and I was back to scouring the adverts, looking for a toy.   After a few weeks, an advert popped up on Ebay and within 10 minutes of it

October 12th, 2014 Spend: £40   I picked up a new silencer from BCF back in September which he had on his Crossflow to replace my battered example, but luck is not on my side as the link pipe on the new exhaust is different to mine and it won't clear the bodywork.     Ok, I'll remove the exhaust manifold then so I can clean it up and wrap it with some heatwrap... May 17th, 2020 Spend: £0.00   Spending a day on the garage, instead of in.  Got these Mototile tiles on Ebay at a very good price and after cleaning them as good as I could, started to clear out the garage so I could fit them.       May 25th, 2020 Spend: £0.00         Found a piece of old 3M carbon film in the garage which must have been at least 7 years old.  It was just enough to create some rear arch protectors

January 5th, 2020 Spend: £0.00   Having won a £50 voucher to spend at the Westfield Parts department with @Julie Hall - Peak District AO's Battle of the ODO's just before Christmas, I decided to replace my battery cut-off key with a proper FIA kill switch.  I had one previously fitted, but that broke within a week, so having spend nearly all of the voucher on the switch, it better last longer!     January 12th, 2020 Spend: £123.64   As mentioned
