Pre-friday tasks are underway.  Starting with repacking my silencer loosely with accoustafil,  given haven spoken with the manufacturer the online calculators have it too full.  Tonight is trying to stop the near mandatory oil leak from the sump of Dave's C20 and replacing his non functioning radiator fan switch.

Spare wheel is off, can't get the wheel carrier to 'collapse' into the car though its being stubborn.

Probably a little bit rust bound - gentle bit of persuasion with a rubber mallet should do it

If someone has one and wants to have a go on Friday feel free :-)

Have you undone the bolts underneath and then pried the brackets open a touch with a flat screwdriver?

Yeah done that, its tight and it does move inch by inch. Just the two bolts, one each side which pinches the bar? Wouldn't surprise me if I missed something.

Yep, that is all there is.

Just need to be brave and give it a tap ;)
