    Standard Rear Roll Bar

Having just finally fitted and riveted my 2 side panels and rear tub i then put in the 4 point harness eye bolts in to the top of the rear tub, I next wanted to fit the rear roll bar. In the fitting manual I have it suggest this should be 70mm in from the back edge, and this feel like its in the centre of the flat steep plate on the rear of the chassis i though I'd just check, does this look correct? I realise that most people fit a better rear cage, but this is what i have ATM, and I found that the FW manual for the rear eye bolts was way out,and fortunately i had a better way of lining these up, so they are all in OK, but the FW manual does not see to have anything about the rear cage in it. Marked out ready to be confirmed then too the distance between centres of my roll bar Much appreciate any help

SOLD Caged Half Cage Roll bar

Now that I've fitted a full cage, I have for sale my old Caged Half Cage Roll bar. It's in pretty good condition as you might expect for a road and occasional track day car; it has never been used to its full potential thank heavens It has none adjustable mounts at the end of the stays and four bolt holes on the mounting plate - it fitted perfectly on mine and the full cage pretty much dropped straight in so I guess a straight swap for existing roll bars, including hoops as I suspect the mounting plate holes are already there even if they are not exposed. I've mounted a high-level brake light; this has been drilled for two self tappers and the wiring; the light comes with. I'm unclear on how this would affect things if you wanted this for a competition car so you should check first. It's cleaned up nicely, the rough bits you see are hidden under the rear and are the result of the usual rubbing from the tub and/or boot box. Sold as seen, collection preferred from North London/Herts but happy to meet half way if not too far. I'm sure I could bubble wrap it to within an inch of it's life and ship it, if so all costs and transport risks to met by purchaser. How does £200.00 sound...?

    250 Sport Roll Bar

Just going through my boxes of bits I have yest to fit to the chassis, and I literally tripped over the roll bar, so thought I'd take a look at it, as to where/how its fixed to the car. The fixing looks very simple, just a large M12'ish size bolt in the end of the roll bar, which I assume you need to drill a new pair of holes in the small square plate on the back of the car then then screw up through. Now I have seen pretty much everybody fit the bar once the body is on the chassis, which I understand as you need to drill through the fiberglass, and then into the steel chassis below, but is there any reason not the drill the mounting hole now, and then when the body is fitted be able to drill up through the fiberglass from underneath?

MSA or RAC Roll Bar - Wide Body

Hi guys, I've only just joined the forum and have a wide body SEW. I've done a couple of track days and am keen to upgrade my standard roll hoop to something a little more substantial. Before I go and spend the best part of £300 for a new one, I was wondering if anyone had an RAC or MSA roll bar / hoop / half-cage (whatever we call them!) kicking around, maybe having been replaced by a full cage or whatever? Thanks Rob
