Having just finally fitted and riveted my 2 side panels and rear tub i then put in the 4 point harness eye bolts in to the top of the rear tub, I next wanted to fit the rear roll bar. In the fitting manual I have it suggest this should be 70mm in from the back edge, and this feel like its in the centre of the flat steep plate on the rear of the chassis i though I'd just check, does this look correct? I realise that most people fit a better rear cage, but this is what i have ATM, and I found that the FW manual for the rear eye bolts was way out,and fortunately i had a better way of li

Now that I've fitted a full cage, I have for sale my old Caged Half Cage Roll bar. It's in pretty good condition as you might expect for a road and occasional track day car; it has never been used to its full potential thank heavens It has none adjustable mounts at the end of the stays and four bolt holes on the mounting plate - it fitted perfectly on mine and the full cage pretty much dropped straight in so I guess a straight swap for existing roll bars, including hoops as I suspect the mounting plate holes are already there even if they are not exposed. I've mounted a high-level br

Just going through my boxes of bits I have yest to fit to the chassis, and I literally tripped over the roll bar, so thought I'd take a look at it, as to where/how its fixed to the car. The fixing looks very simple, just a large M12'ish size bolt in the end of the roll bar, which I assume you need to drill a new pair of holes in the small square plate on the back of the car then then screw up through. Now I have seen pretty much everybody fit the bar once the body is on the chassis, which I understand as you need to drill through the fiberglass, and then into the steel chassis below

Hi guys, I've only just joined the forum and have a wide body SEW. I've done a couple of track days and am keen to upgrade my standard roll hoop to something a little more substantial. Before I go and spend the best part of £300 for a new one, I was wondering if anyone had an RAC or MSA roll bar / hoop / half-cage (whatever we call them!) kicking around, maybe having been replaced by a full cage or whatever? Thanks Rob

Does anyone have (or plan to have in the next few months) an RAC spec roll bar that they'd like to sell? (sorry, don't really want the MSA one). Go on - you know you need that full cage and there's only so much storage space in the garage .
