darve Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 Liking the finish of the cam cover etc, very classy. Good to see you're focusing your energy into something positive - going to be one very well built westy when yoy have finished. Thanks Pete - doing the best I can Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Pic of what the offending bush should look like, you can see how it splits length ways to clip in the tube. This is actually a column mount for a LHD car but it gives you the idea. No idea why I had one of these in my kit Quote
Norman Verona Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 They look very similar to the old BMC steering column bushes after they upgraded from the felt ones. Quote
darve Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 cheers Mark I'll fire an email off the Westfild as I'm sure I have got anything like that. I only have the outer metal bracket itself, none of the inside parts Quote
Dommo Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 you can see how it splits length ways to clip in the tube. Doh! I froze mine to get the stupid thing to fit Quote

Dommo Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 New oil filler cap and a breather filter fitted Does this not risk drawing in unmetered air into the inlet manifold via the cam cover? Oil cap looks good! Quote
Norman Verona Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 If the battery is a gel type then yes it can be mounted any way, side upside down or rightway up. Quote
