TIG Brother
Gary It might be worth asking the company who did you sump if they have any dye penetrant to check for leaks On you're sump before you go through all the hassle of fitting it. I would just be a little concerned around the drain plug area. Might save you some time just having that checked.
TIG Brother
Or get it filled with water for a day or two on some paper towel if you can't to check from drips.

KugaWestie
Today was the leak test for the sump, and good news, no leaks! The oil pick up had been shortened, but it was still too long, and also sitting off centre in the sump, meaning the inner plate was fouling it. After a few hours head scratching and fettling, Dad had got it sorted. So the sump mod is complete. Tonight I put one last coat on the calipers, so they should now be good for re-assembly after a days curing. I also decided to cover the rear loom with some spiral wrap, which makes is a real neat job now, so worth it in my opinion.
KugaWestie
My dashboard has arrived - got some work to do. Second hand Westfield dash with the Vinyl and foam removed I re-assembled the brake calipers on Friday evening, with all new seals. Put them on the car today, complete with new pads all round. Finally, I pulled out the donor car wheels, inflated the tyres to 25 psi (just for temporary rolling chassis) and gave them a blast off with the pressure washer Hopefully I will be putting her on the ground tomorrow

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Coming along nicely. I've just stripped the old vinyl and foam off my old WF dash ready for recovering, sod of a job isn't it, specially the contact adhesive/foam mixture. KugaWestie
Do you think I will need a CAT on the exhaust or not? The exhaust I have with the kit is non-cat If your engine is pre 95 you don't need the cat for IVA. On another subject, did your kit come supplied with the flat protection bar to bolt between the fuel tank and the wishbone bolts? I couldn't see it in your photos. It was a modification Westfield made mid last year in response to comments from the IVA testers concerned that the wishbone bolts could puncture the tank in a rear end shunt. I had to phone Westfield to send one out to me (FOC) for my IVA in Nov 2010. I have now got the IVA flat protection bar. Can anybody tell me how or where it bolts in?
