A couple of good mods there, Gary, anything that improves visibility on the road has got to be a good thing. You only need it to be effective once for it all to be worthwhile!

I don't recall having an issue with CV boot clearance. Wonder why yours were so close to the chassis rail?

Hope the engine is now working as advertised - is everything fixed?

It's only an issue on those with the larger diff from the 1.8. It's 1-1/2" wider than the original 1.6 diffs and also has a larger pcd on the drive shaft mounting flanges, all this pushes the shafts that bit closer to the top chassis rails. :)

glad to see you are having fun still - you did well to sort the engine issue out :t-up:

Yes as Mark says, 1.8 diff is larger.

The engine is all sorted now (I hope). Just need some decent blatting weather!

I managed to get a 45 minute blat in today between the downpours, and stayed dry too :d

I did a quick torch inspection upon return and the CV boots look fine, which is good news.

Also got a wave from an orange elise whilst out - either that or he was shielding his eyes from the DRL's

Look neat those DRL's, not totally happy with the way I've done mine, the LED strips just aren't bright enough in daylight.

Thanks Dave, I will take a picture on the drive in daylight so you can see them from a distance so you can see how bright they are

Thanks, appreciated. I don't suppose you still have a link to the EBay site? (Assuming they were from a commercial seller) :d

I will take a couple of pictures tomorrow and drop them on here

Ah, that's sort of the problem I have at the moment, least yours don't interfer with dipped beam when you use them at night ;)

I stuck some high intensity led side lamps in and they aren't too shabby

Having taken some photos of the Circular DRL's in daylight as posted above, I decided that they just were not bright enough in daylight!

So today, I picked up some different ones and fitted them, they seem much better.
