Dave Licence Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 The Classic Vehicle Restoration show is running this November 2nd and 3rd at the Royal Bath and West show ground, Shepton Mallet. Dorset Area have again kindly arranged space in the Complete Kit Car hall and there is still time for a few more spaces to be booked to enable you to display your Westfield. All vehicles have to be on site before 09:30 each day for parking in the halls. If you don’t get a space inside you can still attend the show and either park your Westfield in the external kit and classic dedicated parking area (reduced entry fee for driver) or come along in your tin-top in the general parking. Full details of the show here https://cvrs.bristolclassiccarshows.com/ use the ‘what’s on’ drop down for details. If you would like to be considered for a space within the hall please respond to this thread, or PM me, with your name and Westfield car registration number by 4 September 2019. If parking outside you don’t need to book and you pay on the day. Hope to see you at the show - I will be there on the Saturday. @Martin Rice (Sparkymart) - Cornwall AO – can you contact Colin Homewood to discuss this event. @Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO – can you give Bristol area the heads up @Merrill @David tucker @GarethHD @markat @b16gnr @Philb65 Dave Quote
David tucker Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Hi are there any places left if so I would like to put my car in the show. It would be good to see some different cars there as it’s the same cars every year. Quote
CarbonWest - Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Hi Dave, Sign me up for the show to display- it will make me clean the car for one...I'll do Nov 2nd if that is OK? I will pass it round the Bristol & Bath area chaps and I do know that Dorset Area put on a good show last year @AdgeC, @jonjh1964 so hopefully we can co-ordinate with them? Did the organisers say if there was a maximum number of cars? Regards Chris Quote
Dave Licence Posted August 28, 2019 Author Posted August 28, 2019 The 12 car club pitch is being organised by Dorset Area so we’ll all be together in the Hall - don’t forget your area flag! On the Saturday there are now two spaces left (with @David tucker and @Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO having grabbed the other two.) On the Sunday there are currently three spaces left (David I’m presuming you want to attend both days? - can you confirm please) Let me know if you have any other queries. Quote
CarbonWest - Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Cheers @Dave Licence - Devon and Somerset AO, I'll put it in the car today! Quote
David tucker Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Hi thanks for that I will probably take my car up on Saturday and leave it there until Sunday if that’s ok. Are you taking yours or do you need the Sunday slot. Do you need any details from me. Quote
jonjh1964 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Don’t forget beer and pies for the picnic. 1 Quote
Dave Licence Posted September 5, 2019 Author Posted September 5, 2019 @David tucker @Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO I’ve passed your details to Colin who is arranging the space and asked the question re overnight parking in the hall. I needed reg details but have both of yours from previous meet photos so no problem. I’m just there on Saturday. Quote

Colin doesn't use the forum so I'll ask him the question and get back to you , we set the stand up on Friday afternoon last year but didn't leave the cars. Quote

Dave, Colin has replied confirming that the site is open on Friday afternoon if you want to drop off your car and he's planning to be there at around 4pm, the stand won't be finished so you'll need to be there first thing on Saturday to set things up (or arrange with Colin to leave your keys?) PM me with your plans and I'll pass them to him. Quote
David tucker Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Thanks for the reply. I can be there on Friday afternoon with my car but I can’t be there on Saturday Sunday is fine. I only live 20 minutes away. I am happy to give my number to Colin if that’s any help so we can discuss arrangements many thanks. Quote
