    2019 2.0 Zetec FW - SOLD

After wanting to build and run a Westfield for over 20 years this past year I finally got chance to realise my dream but it is with a heavy heart I have to consider selling my freshly build Westfield. I have been offered a very nice 997 at a price I just can't resist and having known the car for sometime I cannot let this pass by if this sells. For anyone who is interested here is a link to the build thread : Build Thread All purchased new from Westfield June 2018 and the car has now covered 1000 miles with very very little in the way of teething problems. The car has completed one trackday at Blyton Spec : Registered 1/3/19 Electric Blue bodywork 2.0 Blacktop Zetec on Omex throttle bodies and fitted with a raceline sump. New style FW bodywork with no rear plate recess Sport turbo seats black with blue piping Mazda LSD Pro race 1.2 wheels 7" fronts, 8 " rears fitted with Nankang NS-2R's Westfield Hi-spec brake upgrade new front pads just replaced as the EBC's were not to my liking All LED lights front and rear AIM MXS Strada 1.2 Dash with AIM VIM kit Carbon - Dash, front wings, mirror covers, rear arch stone chip covers, diffuser and cage hole covers Genuine Aerocatch bonnet catches OMP Trecento wheel with quick release column TRS 4 point harnesses 8 channel Freewheel setup with wheel backplate (although I am only using 4 of the channels MSA safety devices cage Only ever seen Vpower fuel through its very short life ! Protech Trackday adjustable dampers Perpsex side wind deflectors Full silicone hoses. Full Geo and corner weight setup at Playskool motorsport less than a month ago. The only addition I was going to consider is some stiffer rear springs as if your lardy like me when two up the car feels way to soft at the rear. Oil changed for Quality 5/30 fully Synthetic ester oil around 600 miles. I have another 5 litres of 5/40 and a few oil filters that will come with the sale All bodywork and wheels were machine polished and had a Gyeon ceramic coating applied at the end of the build making it very hydrophobic. This kit was built with the intention of me keeping it many years (or until I could afford a 997 911!) so everything has been done to the greatest of my ability and with no corners cut on the spec I wanted, It really saddens me to even post this up but the wife has signed off on a 911 and knowing her mood swings I need to grab this by the balls. Any inspection welcome - viewing can be arranged most days or evenings - You can contact via phone or via PM on here.
  3. Hi Guys and Girls, Long time lurker, first time poster... I am looking to purchase a car as soon as the right one comes available. Friend of mine is on here & recommend I post to see what might be around. Spec I am looking for is as follows, hoping that there might be some based in the south somewhere? Every car I have liked is in Manchester or Scotland. I live near Reading. Engine: 2.0 Blacktop or similar (circa 200HP ideally) or Hayabusa style Bike engine (I want a decent amount of torque so 1ltr bike engines are a no). Diff: Must have a LSD. Cage: Nice to be fully caged but not the end of the world if not V8 Bonnet is a must unless its the new shape body. Windshield would be nice, but I can work around that if needed. Seats and belts: Not too bothered as long as they are suitable for both. Need at least 4 point harnesses please. Nice to have a Digi dash too, but not imperative. I'm looking for a well sorted car, good condition and suitable for both road and track use (70/30 split in that order). I've got a max budget of £14k. Thanks in advance everyone

    Diff Identification

Hi Folks, I am looking to upgrade my differential to a LSD. Here is the housing... and here is the tag. From what I have gathered so far, this differential is a 3.91:1 open diff from a ford scorpio (I could be wrong!). Could I please have some advise on the best upgrade method for this as I still feel that I have a lot to learn on this subject and I'm sure many of you have a lot more experience than I do! The reasons for wanting to upgrade to LSD are: 1) I have a ST170 Zetec engine sat in the garage which will be a nice swap for the 1.8 silvertop that is in the car at the moment. I'm thinking throttle-bodies... 2) I would quite like to do some track days in the future. Cheers, Simon

    Rebuilt Sierra 7" LSD

Sierra 7" LSD 3:62 This is the diff out of my Megablade, it has done about 900 miles since it was fully reconditioned by the guys at Road & Race Tranmissions in Kent with all new bearings and left as good as new. Only reason for sale is it is no use for my new engine £400

    LSD for Freelander Diff

I'm rebuilding my electric sprint car after smashing it up at Curborough. During the rebuild process I may fit an LSD if it's practical. The car has a Freelander differential fitted as standard which I can't change. The electric motor is limited to 5000 rpm and is coupled directly to the diff so it needs the 3.2 to 1 ratio (as well as 17 inch rear wheels). Could anybody recommended an LSD type or manufacturer for this diff? Thanks.
  7. For sale my fantastic BGR Westfeild. Built in 2000 and correctly registered on a Q plate as a 'Westfeild' on the V5. The car was originally built with a Ford 1600 crossflow engine but this was replaced with a 2.0L Zetec Twincam blacktop. At the same time the fuel and ignition systems were also replaced Full Spec: 2.0L Blacktop Zetec Twin 45 DCOE Webers with K&N high flow filters Alpha Weber K97017 P1 ignition system - fully programmable Mocal oil cooler Mocal remote oil filter conversion Raceline sump Raceline water manifold Four branch exhaust manifold into single side exhaust. High delivery electric fuel pump Type 9 gearbox with gear leave extension Independent rear suspension with Westfeild LSD Fully adjustable dampers 15'' Fox racing rims with correct Westfeild center caps inc Spare Excellent Yokohama 609 R15 tyres (spare never fitted) Brembo front calipers with cross drilled discs Interior Wesfeild lightweight seat pads Willans harness Momo removable staring wheel Momo quick shift gear leaver Interior heater with two stage fan (fantastic in Spring & Autumn) Carbon dash with race logic dials Push button engine start The car has the longer clam shell wings but they are bolt on and so a conversion to cycle wings is an easy one, having said that I suggest that the new owner runs it with these longer wings at first as they afford much more protection from stones on the back lanes! The car is British racing green and always draws lots of attention. Being a Q plate there is no emissions checks to worry about at MOT time. had intended to take the car to Bogg bros in Malton to have the carbs set up and also get some power figures but i have been too busy driving it to make the time! I have no idea what the power output is but i can assure you you wont want any more for road use, and i think there is potential with this engine if you want for track days - this car despite its retro looks is mega loud and fast but when driven sedately is just as much fun. This car goes, turns and stops like nothing I have ever driven before. I am based just south of York and I would strongly recommend viewing the car before you bid, and I will happily take you out if its dry. I can arrange delivery anywhere in the north by trailer price TBC. Just MOTed for the summer, oil and filter changed and drive train fluids checked. Full wet weather kit and all-weather full cover included. If you are a serious buyer and would like pics or other details please email me phil.cartwright1@btinternet.com £6500 OVNO Be quick! Phil

    Viscous Diff - Gear oil

Am I right in believing the viscous coupling in the Sierra cosworth syle LSD is a sealed unit with its own oil, within the CWP? And on that assumption you can use any type of "normal" gear oil in the diff housing?

    MX5 3.9 LSD

Hi all, I'm back home in Ireland for Christmas and stumbled across someone selling two mx5 diffs from 6 speed cars. I've bought the 3.6 for myself but he's got a 3.9 there too. I know these are pretty hard to come by so if anyone is looking for one, I can pick it up and take it back across on the ferry when I'm going back to work. I paid 400 euro for the 3.6 with prop shaft and drive shafts. I'd imagine the cost for the 3.9 will be pretty similar. As I said I can take it back across to Birmingham for anyone interested. Cheers, Andrew
