Newbie after some advice

Mine was in a building where you needed to remove a wall to get the car out. So I didn't worry but most specialists will offer build insurance for you whilst you crack on with it.

Oh and welcome to the thread hi jack association. :)

So guys, only 2 sleeps to go before collecting from Craig.

Should I be thinking about insuring the car whilst building it?

For what it cost's it's probably worth having.  I paid something like £30 to Adrian Flux for £6K build cover and then took out a new policy once I needed to start driving it on the road.

It's not just theft of the car or components you need to think of, but the fire ball that engulfs it the first time you start the engine, or damage when the the garage roof collapses from the weight of this winters snow  :xmas:

£30ish is money well spent, so I think I will definitely give A Flux a ring, thanks

Just off to bed now, will that make morning come quicker?  :suspect:

It is very exciting collecting your own Kit/Project - glad it's not only me that has sleepless nights over such things with excitement!

I've had a rough two weeks waiting for our next project to come to fruition - hopefully nealy there.  :)

You are right, very exciting.

Makes a change having a sleepless night over something other than work - quite refreshing! :D

Will these fit the Mazda MX5 wheel hubs?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm....3.l2649

The Mazda fitment is 4 x 100 from what I remeber. But I am half asleep and my memory might not be functioning.

Cheers

Just checked and they wont fit

^^^ 4x100 for the MX5 hubs.  There's plenty of wheel options to choose from as it's a fairly common fitment for Jap cars.

I haven't yet paid more than £40 for a set of wheels for my car :D

Most of my sets I bought off ebay, if you're not too fussy about the spoke design there's normally a bargain or two to be had.

The best prices seem to be on the minilite style wheel, I picked up of set of them last year complete with decent tyres that I ran all last season of the WSCC speed series on.

Also worth searching for for wheels from BMW minis and the mazda 323/MX3 which were also the same PCD and offset
