April 1st, 2017 Spend: £9.00   Paul (@black st) offered to come round to see if the car was running on all cylinders and if it did, use his synchrometer to balance the throttle bodies.  After unplugging lead no 2, it was quite clear that the problem lied there.  A quick trip to Halfords to pick up a set of spark plugs was made, but they made no difference.  New coil pack ordered, but it may well be the leads.  Also had a listen at a rattle when the engine was running and this was

June 15th, 2014 Spend: £446 Sold:  £300   For the past 2 months I've been sitting on a padded garden chair cushion due to not being able to drive the car with the standard Westfield sport seats. May 1st, 2016 Sold: £20.00   The annual pilgrimage to the spiritual home of the kit car... Stoneleigh! February 21st, 2019 Spend: £0.00   The sun is out and the urge to go out in the Westfield again is growing.  Time to start cracking! May 3rd, 2014 Spend: £7   Now the brakes are back together again, I could finally concentrate on the diff. The breather was smaller than the thread on the diff, so I bought some Sikaflex EBT+ from Screwfix and just glued it in place.     Then went for spin to warm the diff oil up and used my Pela 6000 to suck the old stuff out (by god it smells!). December 1st, 2019 Spend: £36.99   Continuing with the badge fixing.       And then I moved onto the next thing, replacing the odo display.  This turned out to be a bit of a 'mare, but hopefully once put back together, not very noticeable where I had to damage things to get it apart.     I'm taking the opportunity to change the face of the gauge as the plan is to replace all gauge faces in a similar style.   December 8th, 2019

February 4th, 2017 Spend: £66.98   Completed engine mount alteration and now it looks like the bonnet fits, as well as having enough clearance with the alternator on the chassis.     Started on fuel lines and relocated fuel pressure regulator to the rear of the engine next to the coils by altering an IKEA fastener slightly.     Fastened the clutch and accelerator cables.  Measured up all the cooling pipe sizes so I can start ordering these

October 19th, 2019 Spend: £0.00   Earlier this week I had a small electrical faux-pas as my carbon cycle wing had slowly worn away at my wiring and caused a short!       At the same time my engine would turn over but not start, so after a lot of failed attempts at diagnosing the issue, it actually turned out to be the damn idle adjuster screw again.  Have now marked it's position, so I can spot it earlier.  Repaired the wiring and all is good again...  other th

November 2nd, 2014 Spend: £0   Now the dash is removed, I need to untangle the wiring mess. After recommendation on the forums I also removed the scuttle.
