is the spiggot bearing just in the flywheel on a mazda normally they sit in the end of the crank

Yes Pete, it's in the flywheel on Mazda's :)

Yes, the DVLA will need to be able to read it. I assume you're going for a Cat emissions test with VOSA so they wont need to see it.

VOSA checked mine too. I didn't paint over the engine number but still had to get the wet and dry out to make it legible.

Box and engine look really smart. Makes me wish I'd painted my gearbox!

here's the engine ready to be installed. I'm off work tomorrow so that's what's on the agenda

can anyone confirm if the bracket on the back of the starter motor out of the Mazda is required? it's miles off from the hole in the engine mount

You can take off the starter bracket mate, its not used on the Westfield which is why it doesnt fit :)

few minor issues along the way................namely a few bolts sheering off over the last couple of day in very difficult to get to locations :bangshead::d

your telling me I clean it up and painted it for no reason :down::no::laugh:

what's the fourth whole in the engine mount for (top left)? or is it the same bracket for other kits too?
