Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 nice run out guys and good turn out - wont forget in a hurry the two bike engined cars trying to turn around (no reverse) after the route issues - nice route through beyond Kimbolton - all new to me - thanks Liam thanks Ian for making the trip over - let me know your number and will keep you in touch Quote
Xtreme Kermit Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks for organsing Cleggy! It was a great run out - there are some great roads around aren't there! Good to meet you guys, and I look forward to the next outing! Quote
Liam Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 It's not often you get lost before the FIRST turn on the route Sorry about the succession of 30 mph zones but the bits in between were quite good. Enjoyed the run and the tyre kicking. What I need is a LSIS ...... Oh , I used to have one of those Liked Sam's toy a lot Quote
housebeautician Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 sorry i missed it circumstances beyond my control thats two in row i've missed. b****r Quote
SparkyB Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 The 660 down to Kimbolton is my fave route....shame I had to work today I would have loved to have come along Quote
langy Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Good route, except the 'u' turn . Road to Kimbolton was good, as was the section after Sandy. Has given me an idea if I ever take the Xtreme to work Quote
flash1 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Great run out a bit slower than normal , at least it gave my little Zetec a chance to keep up Quote
LocoR1 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Great run again and nice selection of cars learnt a valuable lesson about sticky tyres as well! its not as easy to turn it round on the diff still least i only had to bump up the curb a bit Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 was a nice run Liam even the villages we managed to stretch our legs a bit at the front too - when you get more than 3-4 cars you generally find that things steady up a little - plus I had a passenger too which makes you steady up a bit Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks for organsing Cleggy! ! and Liam too Quote
samcooke Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Agreed - there were some nice little stretches on that route. The pace was fine for me... It's amazing how much quicker you lot could enter corners, where the green car [ian?] was just barrelling round unflustered I was having to give dabs on the brake to settle the nose and stop it hopping wide. And there's only so much ground a 180bhp 1 tonne car can make up on the exit. Thanks to Cleggy and Liam. I'm looking forward to Wales now. Quote
