cidersurfer
Well, with one side, on the alignment looks right for that photo I've posted. An imaginary centre line extended through the shock would pass straight through the two bolt holes for mounting the adaptor to the 'bone and the shock to the adaptor which somehow seems right to me. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Do we think that it does this then? And if so, then does the hole in the bracket require drilling through the wishbone and a bolt through both? Keep forgetting to speak to WF on this, did we ever get the fixing method confirmed? cidersurfer
No Dave I didn't. Can anyone confirm this or otherwise?
DavidR
I spoke to Dave Lane on Westfield stand at Race Retro last weekend and he confirmed that the bracket fits the way in the picture above and that the wishbone needs drilling to accept an extra clamping bolt through the bracket and wishbone baseplate. Will probably need a washer between the bracket and wishbone to seat the bracket square on the wishbone. Still trying to track down Maxi ball joints at a reasonable price so haven't started fitting yet. David
carpetstu
Mines fitted and looks great but ive just took it round the block and it dangerous. I think the front wheels are trying to do the splits. The track rod extensions are wound right in but the wheels seem to be pointing outwards still. Does anyone know if the steering rack needs trimming? Help my cars trying to kill me !! Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
I think the front wheels are trying to do the splits. Help my cars trying to kill me !! And you drove it like that It's not the car that's trying to kill you... There is another thread running about how much to trim the rack by, on a standard SEiW with Escort rack it's about 10mm a side. Whilst I appreciate not everyone has the kit at home to fully set the car up; (I haven't, that's why I'm booked in at Blink Motorsport next Friday). You do need to at least get it into the right ball park before driving on the road.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Did you take the lock stops off your steering rack? (if fitted); feels great having a decent turning circle at last.
carpetstu
Not sure about the steering locks ill have a look, thanks for the advice. Im scared to turn at the moment the wheels are already going in different directions. Edit- Steering rack now trimmed and wheels lined. God is this system the db's? car handles a dream! Guest
Fitted mine at the weekend too... though didn't try the standard bar on it. Who makes the GA bar? I've got a Playkool one... i think it will be worth offering mine up too by the looks of things.
