samcooke
13.458 @101. I reckon easy mid 12s once the new clutch spring comes. Enjoyable day, thanks Chaz. Looking forward to going again. I wonder what the tin-top / SWMBO's car / the Sierra would do...
langy
Looks as though you had a good day and the weather pretty damn good for the end of October. Next time I the Xtreme is going to have to make an appearance, so you shouldn't have any worries about being the slowest, heaviest etc, etc..... Martin Keene
13.458 @101. I reckon easy mid 12s once the new clutch spring comes. I wouldn't bet a £5 against it... Lots of practice starts as well. You simply wouldn't believe the amount of people losing 0.5/1 second on crap starts.
samcooke
My poor start first time out cost me over a second, but somehow my terminal was half a mile an hour quicker

scruffythefirst
best was a rather shocking 13.516 @96.58mph, although best terminal was 97.19 I blame, in order... Crap driving (hitting the limiter, short shifting etc) Soft suspension - just look at all the squat I'm getting in the 3rd pic. Crap tyres Crap driving bl**** heavy car Not enough power. I did get quite good at the burnouts though
scruffythefirst
The bikers saved my A*** on the way home, there was a policeman in every hedge on the kimbolton road.
chazpowerslide
Hugh, it did'nt so much as squat off the line so much as bounce away like a randy bunny rabbit. Personally I though you were being a bit of a puffter with the clutch Drivers of the day have to go to Sparky, very smooth of the line, minimal wheelspin and good reaction times though I rekon he'd be a full two secs quicker if he could get his head below the windscreen!! and Neil allmost a full two secs quicker then last year, smooth off the line and good reaction times too. It was a good day out and a good note to end the season on. I'm in the process of arranging the traditional xmas do details to follow................ Chaz. CrashBangWallop
and Neil allmost a full two secs quicker then last year, smooth off the line and good reaction times too The first one seemed good but, the other two - Too much wheel-spin and then... Too slow pulling away. And, unfortunately, only a second quicker, not two. Thanks for organising the day, Chaz. We got the weather again. As a side note. I'm not comfortable at those speeds... on those roads. I'm not going to risk my life or my daughter's to try and keep up. What happened to a driver keeping the car behind them in view? If I'm going to get left behind, I'll make my own way to a meeting from now on.

I did get quite good at the burnouts though Sounds like you had goodfun and wish I could have come along to play! Although your problems are easy to fix! Crap driving (hitting the limiter, short shifting etc) OK maybe thats more difficult to fix but practice! Soft suspension - just look at all the squat I'm getting in the 3rd pic. You should not complain about soft suspension as thats what you want for drag starts. You will spin up even more with harder settings. Crap tyres Change them Crap driving Practice!!! bl**** heavy car How heavy? Cant be that bad? Not enough power. The easiest to fix with your engine........and will gladly help you!
