ISS passing over at 16:37 approaching from SW if anyone's interested. Visible for about 6mins..

 

Looks clear here.  🛰️

I often watch it going over when its forecast.

 

Still as exciting as the first time I watched it go over.

Indeed the ISS app is amazing. Watching the sun break over the earth surface is incredible.

Well I looked and looked but didn't see.. :( There's a bit of high cloud that may be obscuring it.

Will have another look when it's back round again shortly at 6:13 pm

I had not seen it before so Andrew pleased to see your post and a heads up!!

 

I thought I saw it but just turned out to be lots of bright stars .. and then a plane on its way to Amsterdam!!!

 

Having seen Wizzers photograph.. I definitely did not see that!!

Have another look when it comes back past, I've never seen it before it couldn't  have been a plane it was moving to fast and no vapor trail

What app is it that tells you about astronomical events? I used to have it but now cant remember?

ISS spotter app is quite good, free and gives current live position and forecast for your location 😎

If you go on the NASA website, register and put in your location you will get email updates of when it will be visible over you, twice tonight, the early one it was a bit light so it was hard to spot, the later one was clear as a bell, but I'm used to it, I know where to look and what to look for😊

My eight year old grandson stayed over last night and I was able to point it out to him.
