snowy892 Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Hi. I've got some Daylight running lights for my Westy, where are you people placing/attaching them? Anybody got any pics to give me some ideas. Many thanks. Quote
McFrancis Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 I had this arrangement last year. This year I'm changing the nose to ducted, and have halo drl lights, with the indicators below. I'll put a picture in tech talk once I have them fitted. 1 Quote

Geezergs Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 I got Coolex to fit four mounts on the front the same as on a plastic polo rad but on the intercooler 6mm Id then made up some alloy brackets. 8 minutes ago, snowy892 said: How dis you attach them? Quote

If you're interested I could sell you the lights, bracket and dlr controller, as I don't need them for the new setup I'm going for, say £35 including postage. Quote

However I have just brought lights and controller .. Quote
neptune Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 I used landrover LED side lights on caterham style indicator pods from @carbon-nv 1 Quote
Kingster Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Mine are on the top front wishbone - they are brighter than they look in the first pic though. 2 1 Quote
Andy (Sycho) Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 They look familiar As Chris said brighter than they look & very discreet. 1 1 Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 As recommended by @Chris King - Webmaster and Joint North East AO & @Andy (Sycho) above. I bough mine from here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YZS7VTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They've done over 12,000 faultless miles over 3 years! Easily stuck to the bottom of the top wishbone with the self adhesive they come with. 3 1 Quote
CraigHew Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 I shamelessly followed @IanK (Bagpuss) and bought exactly the same cheap chinese units and also mounted them to the top wishbones. For the money they're stupendous value.... 2 1 Quote
corsechris Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 At the risk of being misunderstood....”me too”. those LED strips look like an excellent solution. Quote
