Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 We also managed a couple of tunnels today :-) also drove through a couple of dodgy looking clouds whilst heading to the coast but it has ended up really hot on retuning to villa :-) 2 Quote

Terryathome Posted August 19, 2017 Author Posted August 19, 2017 Tomorrow is day 9. Traveling from Jorba to Montpellier, approx 250 miles depending on which route we take. Traveling on a Sunday can sometimes catch you out, petrol being a concern but should be ok. Nearly everybody been away for the weekend and traveling back home so Sunday sometimes is a busy day. Good thing in France is no wagons are allowed to travel on a Sunday. Should be an early start but with the barbecue and beers tonight we will have to wait and see who gets up first and rallys the squeaky Spanners into action. Quote
Terryathome Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 First coffee of the day and a stroll around the apartment grounds. It looks like it's going to be another scorcher. Everybody's in bed so looks like I'll have to ralley the Spanners into action. Funny that @marcusb was up for an earlier start but seems the bed covers are not playing ball. If anybody is passing Jorba I can highley recommend Les Muntades, will post address Web site when home. Indeed all the routes and hotels. 1 Quote
Terryathome Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Just arrived at Montpellier, gee whizz that was a long one. Route was the quickest but nearly all motorway. It got windy towards the end, not doing that one again. Out of cars, haven't even got the bags off decided to do this first. Hmmmm beers 1 Quote
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 All four of us are shattered after that leg, 250 miles in heat and a stint over the border in slow traffic, also touring in Europe is good if you have a passenger to pay the tolls! 2 Quote
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 170 miles to Gap today, we are going for the non motorway route. Just set off Terry's got lost twice already - heat must have got to him and it's going to be another hot one ! Quote
