gixermark Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Ross - i definately woudln't bother with the gearbox karts - 125 or 250 unless you are very hands on and want to get into racing... they take a lot of work to keep them going... and you'll find very few places will let you free pratcice the way Jeff and the guys are doing with the non gearbox machines.. I has a 125 hearbox many moons ago.. and am still in touch with guys taht race them - same story... throwing piston, barrels, ignitions, clutches etc etc at them regular. I bought a rotax max a couple of years ago for fun - they are extremely good fun for the ££ and dead easy to look after - electric start button too If you want to race them comsptitively you will spend plenty of time fettling.. but for fun they'd be great.. the 4 strokes Jeff has and teh pro karts are great too.... there is bound to be awinter series club round for racing near you too - put the winter in easier !!
