CrashBangWallop
Well, after all the worry, it looks like I might have survived a rather expensive automotive spending spree. After trying the engine again this morning, the tapping stopped completely. And by that I mean it has returned to it's former state of slight tapping. I ran the car for ten minutes or so and then took it up the road and back, once everything had warmed up. Oil pressure held. The water self-bled itself again and the turbo whirred away once it came on boost. So 1. BIG RED OIL WARNING LIGHT to attach. 2. High-level brake light to attach 3. Slight oil leak to attend to 4. Tacho reading to correct and... I'm back to where I started from, albeit a little worse-for-wears, several months ago. However, I'm off back to good ol' Cullercoats on Thursday, so I shall forget about the ar until then. Thank you everyone for you help and encouragement (except Mark ) Neil *Kidding, Mark

CrashBangWallop
It's not cold. I've just been for a drive around town. Lovely weather. The odd frozen snot but, that's to be expected. The roads are a little slippy, though.
