Was the boot lid metal? Maybe I’m just living in a parallel universe...

It had a louvered metal panel set in to it, but otherwise was a two piece GRP moulding, (outer skin, plus inner skin).

Wasn't that a 550 Spyder? Though it’s been so long I can’t really remember. In fact it’s been so long, it probably counts as a barn find by now. Shame, there was some fantastic chassis work going on.

Can’t remember myself now 😀

I too have thought these are very nice cars....and the missus doesn't mind either, she hated the xtr.

However 28k for a 1600cc beetle with a different body kit is a joke.

We have a game at Stoneleigh (whilst having the odd beer )where one of us reads an item on the 'extras/upgrade' price list and everyone else guesses the price, the closest gets a prize.

Needless to say nobody gets that close because the prices are ASTRONOMICAL.

Price up a 2000cc with some nice extras and you are looking at 35+......why.

I don't know why, but my simple brain says make things a sensible price ....sell more.
