  1. Hey all, I was on here for a few years with my Westfield and met a few of you, mostly in Scotland but had a prang which meant my Westfield journey stopped for a bit. Time and pennies are easier now (offspring’s Uni journey finished and new Westfield journey begins) and I am rebuilding and while I am sure progress will be slow I am enjoying pottering in the garage again. I will of course be leaning on the wealth of knowledge and goodwill on this forum and hopefully my questions are not too mundane or head slapping! Expect the first salvo of questions immanently!

  2. All - thanks for all the help and advise through this process. I'm happy to report the car is now all 100% road legal and insured etc. So happy with this and starting to enjoy rides with friends and family.

  4. Thanks @SteveB21 I’ve uploaded it now. That area is an archive so is locked down to those with Administrator privileges to prevent accidents. If you add the others below or PM them to me, I’ll add them in. 👍

  5. A month ago I got an MSA rollbar from @Richard Slack shipped all the way to Italy, which, after various days stuck at the customs (my mistake, didn't indicate the value properly on the shipping docs) finally got delivered a few days ago: While I was waiting for this, a very interesting sale advert came up in an italian forum, about a chap selling a brand new Westfield full cage. I wasn't sure of getting it as I don't need it right now, but given how hard (and expensive) it is to get one all the way over to Italy from the UK, I took the plunge and bought it. This also arrived a few days ago: It wasn't cheap but a good buy here in Italy. I'll use the MSA rollbar for the foreseeable, might switch to the fullcage at some point in the upcoming years, or if I start doing trackdays more consistently 😄

  6. What is ‘MSUK Approval’ standard. I have 4 point but they are not fia standard. Not sure if they are MSUK Approved. Where is the best place to buy 4 point and/or 6 point? And what should I be looking for to fit a Westfield. (I know 6 point is better) Thanks

  7. Recived today, really small (CD to present size) : Edit : its wires has such type of connector in need for longer wires, BTW , interesting connector, (the same type of connectors I have found in newest Carcoon ), found in google that it is used in solar panels :

  8. Welcome back @Alfascozzesi! If my memory serves me correctly, we met as a part of a WSCC Courier Service getting a set of seats to Scotland about 5 years ago! 😂😂

  9. Excuse me. Wrong facts. It was AEG with butter fingers - not me!!

  10. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any sticker on the MSA bar, but I think those are (or were?) made by Safety Devices, and Playskool on the old days (this one is a Playskool bar). As for the full cage, it is currently stored at my brother's garage, I'll ping you with the info as soon as I have it home.

  12. @LoneWolf - already having a cage, just attach ... rest of the car to this nice cage ! Perfect excuse to get second Westfield! (I know sth about it - once had spare gearbox and spare raceline sump, and that was my excuse to add to it rest of the car (in the end needed other gearbox btw... But the oil sump was used and is now running in my second - road-going Westfield. )

  13. Thank you, but no thanks. I've got a spare. Brand new, in the bag, how much is that worth?

  14. @Andrzej’s compressor sells as an RAC branded item in the UK but without the nice little storage bag. The hose is very short and the 86cm lead can plug into a 153cm lead with cigarette plug or 108cm lead with small croc clips. With the cigarette plug lead the unit will easily reach front and back tyres using a power socket in the cabin, but it won’t reach the rear tyres using the croc clips on a front mounted battery. Having said that you would probably want to upgrade the croc clips anyway, so easy to add an extra length of wire at the same time. The unit says it is 12v 100w, but I’ve not checked the actual current draw.

  15. I’ve got one I can sell you for a very reasonable price. Reasonable in my opinion, of course.

  17. My spares stash is not quite as comprehensive as I thought but I do have the following, all unused and with original packaging: 2 x FW LED stop/tail lights 2 x FW outer reflectors 2 x FW inner reflectors Total price from Westfield is £206.44 + postage but I'm sure the same or equivalent can be had from Ebay or elsewhere for perhaps 2/3 of that price. I can let them all go for £100 including postage.

  19. So from work we get a quarterly "wellness allowance". Meant for home office niceties, gym subscriptions, fitness equipment etc. You get the idea. I managed to sneak these through as "gym trainers", in a fetching shade of Westfield blue to match the car. Just right for the treadmill, or a small pedal box, whichever seems more appropriate! 🤣🫣🤫
