Thanks for your reply, no not advertised elsewhere. Have had issues with selling privately on other sites Autotrader etc. So just on here. Thought on Westfield OC it would be gone at the price asked. Have had one enquiry, but for some reason they seemed bothered about a bit of surface cracking on the fibreglass at the rear on a 24 year old body. Go figure that one. 🤔😄 Anyway thanks for your advice, much appreciated. 👍2 points

Just did my renewal with Howdens, second year on the trot. I am happy to say my renewal is cheaper than last year and I spoke with Arnold and Kate who were very helpful. It's refreshing to be able to contact a human rather than a chat bot. Human interactions are becoming a thing of the past when dealing with alot of organisations these days. Thanks Andy2 points

My home-built project that needs an owner who will actually use it. Time to accept I gave no thought what I'd do with it once I'd built it..... A common refrain from me, "we have 3 cars but barely need 1". In 2023 the Midlana went to the MOT & back and that was it. Last year Vickie 'encouraged' me to use the car more so we did get out in it once or twice, which I enjoyed, but the truth is I just have no use for it as I am practically a recluse these days. So, as the saying goes, 'genuine reason for sale'. It's not a 'good' reason, but it is true. £16,000 If the asking price is achieved, sale will include a bunch of spares etc as follows. Engine gaskets, spare set of used ignition coils, spare throttle pedal pot, spare MAF, spare suspension parts, spare diff (used but good), camlocks for the V6, plus any other pertinent bits (spare wiper motor, spare dash clusters etc). Will include all the templates I used for making the body panels, screen template, assorted 3D printed parts files to recreate them if required. Car currently has inertia belts but will include harnesses as shown in the shot below. Spare master cylinders. If the asking price is not achieved, none of the above listed parts will be included but can be purchased separately. Last time I sold a kit I practically gave it away, along with lots of valuable parts. Won't be doing that again. (Added for clarity, no spares will be offered for sale unless the car sells below asking price. If that happens, any left over will be advertised separately.) Can be viewed any time by arrangement. A few pictures so you have an idea what it is: Very briefly: Car has MX5 NA front & rear uprights, front suspension is double wishbone with inboard vertical dampers with rockers & pushrods, rear is lower semi-trailing arm and upper wishbone. All suspension joints are 1/2" rod ends or larger, or spherical bearings in cups. Pro-tech 1.9" dampers. Steering rack is MX5 (currently a de-powered PAS rack, was originally a manual rack but I found this a bit 'slow'). Front brakes are Wilwood Midilite with Focus ST 300mm vented discs, rears are Hyundai i30N calipers with BMW JCW Mini vented 316mm discs. Wilwood pedalbox and master cylinders. Engine is a stock Alfa Busso 3.0 V6 taken from a 1999 Alfa 166 so makes around 220bhp/200lbft. Gearbox is a 6 speed from a 156 V6 for the shorter diff ratio. ECU is stock from the donor 166 so includes working cruise control and passes a CAT test with ease (although it doesn't need one at MOT being a Q plate). Instruments are modified Alfa 166. Loom is mostly derived from the donor car and retains all the original switchgear and functions, including the Alfa CODE engine immobiliser system integrated into the ECU. Dash has a home-brew fuel gauge calibrator to match it to the Exige fuel tank & sender, which makes it accurate. JK Composites seats. Since first building it and getting the IVA in March 2021, I've fitted LED headlights, put a Sparco steering wheel on it with a QR, swapped out the harnesses for inertia reels and made some suspension mods at the back to add some extra droop travel. Last year while I had the engine out to do the suspension mods, I also fixed an oil leak that had developed, so it had a new cambelt and yet another water pump while it was in bits as well as a complete new set of all oil seals. Hi everyone, Have decided that now is the time to sell. Have owned for two years and it has been a blast. Age, time factor and no inclination now to keep tinkering has made my mind up. Am looking for a sale at a very fair price. MOT due 14th May. The main bolt that screws into the chassis that holds exhaust bracket has recently sheared of off and would need fixing. Ford 1600 CVH engine Twin Webers, these were overhauled last year with a carb refurb kit . Toyo Proxes all good 205/50 ZR15 89W New exhaust last year. New drop links for both sides, one side already fitted Box of spares and lots of paperwork including build info. Drives well as they should. First registered December 2001. A few surface cracks to the fibreglass mainly on rear tub and hidden under the tonneau, but to be expected on a 24 year old Westfield. Please do not expect perfection!!😆 Looking for a very reasonable £5,500 or close offer, which reflects that the MOT due soon. Any questions I will endeavour to answer. Please note that IF a new MOT is put on within the next month or so, the price WILL increase significantly! Am based in Tunbridge Wells Kent. Thanks for looking. Message for details.1 point

Hello All, I am off to 24hr LE Mans 2025 race event for the 1st time . I am off with my dad for his 60th birthday. Just wondered if anyone else had been to previous events. If got any tips or info etc, also what weather was like. We are in Porsche cayenne so have plenty of space with only x2 us going. We camping over at Beausejour next to Virage Porsche for the whole event. Not sure what it is like, dad booked it all so not sure what we get etc. He lives on Isle of man and bring car over this weekend so hopefully I get more details lol. We set off on Tuesday 10th June to set off from near Leeds, doing little road trip down. Pencilled in a visit café n machine, Clarkson farm and maybe his pub. Then getting over night ferry from Portsmouth to Le mans as campsite opens up Wednesday morning. The we leave Le mans on Monday 23rd June and return via Calais on ferry. Sort doing mini tour of North of France. Cheers Andy1 point

I'm very surprised this is still available - is it advertised elsewhere? CVH is underrated - we upgraded @Captain Colonial's car to throttle bodies a few years ago on a budget and transformed that - hopefully now the sun is out and with a fresh MOT you'll find the right buyer (suggest some fresh photos from all angles in the sun could help). Good luck!1 point

Cannot believe this is still for sale to be honest, bearing in mind the time of year and the price. Maybe it is too cheap, who knows. 😄 Price will be increased significantly anyway in a few weeks or so when mot should be done. 👍 Mark.1 point

I hate the way this is happening throughout the world. It's terrible for mental health. It's all done in the name of efficiency ie profit and it disgusts me quite frankly. Even GPs now you can't get to speak to anyone, it's all done online. Doctors are telling people to do the exact thing that is making people ill, it's ridiculous. Like we don't all spend too much time with screens as it is! And it's certainly not efficient from a customer's point of view, in the end 99% of the time I end up speaking to a person to get an issue sorted anyway, but it just takes 5 times as long as it used to. It sucks to say the least. It's nice to see the human touch with Howden. That should become a catchphrase. No charge. 😂 Rant over1 point

A further kind donation @DeanMegaS2000. It's looking like it's going to be a hot one, so these great and kind donations, will help me push on to the finish!1 point
