I was an early adopter of Freewheel and my transmitter is still on it's original battery (well past it's shelf expiry date) having been in use for just under 9 years and 37,000 great miles.3 points

There's no pairing, it's a secure 2 way radio transmission, not Bluetooth which is unreliable as you say. Response time is around 10ms - fast enough to be useful for paddleshift and to appear immediate... We ship to Europe regularly with a zero tariff rate, so you'd buy without VAT and pay local sales tax instead. (there's a 10% WSCC discount too) 🙂 Happy to answer any questions2 points

Agreed. With that in mind and if you advertised elsewhere as well where it would catch European eyes, it might be slightly underpriced.1 point

That surface rust looks very superficial - looks in great nick to be honest. I'm assuming its a narrow, and having a xflow, is very authentic IMHO.... Dont write off old school to quickly... Dependant on engine 'tune' I'd say anything between 4-5.5k.....IF it was bit older, it might be worth more going to the French market where >30yr old 7 style cars can fetch a premium... Mart.1 point

I've got plenty of tools you're more than welcome to come over and try them on1 point

Can I offer them up to the car, as I have 205 fitted. @Allan Cooke1 point

@Phil Jackson This must be a prime candidate for the French market, due to age? Have you advertised it elsewhere? Looks a nice honest example.... GLWTS.1 point

Covers were made from parts that came with the IVA kit, cut and tie wrapped in place. Not specific protection parts for the hoop.1 point

How works this BT transsmision (if I understant correctly how buttons connects with central unit under dash) - does it 100% times (every time with no one exeption) pair correctly ? my experience with std everyday BT units (phone, speaker etc) is that not many, but sometimes connection is lost, or took long time etc. Also is the reaction so immediate as "by wire" ? Central horn is what I really miss in my road Westfield, in emergency situations my hand automaticly goes in the centre of wheel and there is ....silence ...no button (I havbe mounted horn on dash to have quick release steering wheel) . There are solutions with spiral shape wire but his ia additional connection to disconnect and plug every time wheel is off.. So this solution is tempting ! , just on the side of expensive upgrades , esp adding taxes/duties to EU... 😕 But for horn, indicators and possible indicator turn-off ( cant use to remember to turn of mine ...) seems lika a great solution. Or and as in Your @Naranja_Al example - start button on wheel! wow like in Ferrari and Alfa . But seriously seems also security option - take steering wheel with me and thief have some troubles to start engine. Also like the simplicity of Your design - not too many butons, not many colours , just those what really needed on steering wheel. On the other hand I really like this old - school look of my dash with plenty of gauges, buttons, switches I have currently on dash , functionaly thi s freewheel would be upgrade, but ... fighting with this1 point

I've been a tad quiet lately, and only just seen this post. Here is mine in Jaguar French Racing Blue, very similar to the Porsche Shark Blue (I'm sure VW called it Cornflower Blue and used it on the Polo?). Not one of these pics show the actual true colour. I love it and have no regrets whatsoever.1 point
