Many thanks @Flying Carrot Steve for your kind donation and also for encouraging others. It will be my 31st 1/2 marathon race and my 4th Great Manchester run. it's not the best of routes (bland Manchester industrial areas, with few spectators), but I'm always amazed at the kind donations I get for an amazing charity. Sometimes from people who've received amazing care from the Cristie. These personal memories really pull me through and humble my attempts at this race.2 points

I made it to the breakfast meeting in the Westfield this morning. There were seven of us, with a possible new member looking for a car. Sorry, no photos.2 points

Thanks for the kind and generous sponsorship @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO I really appreciate it! I'm still way off my target, so if anyone else has some spare pennies, they'd be greatly appreciated.2 points

I run a Dash2Pro and my steering wheel is a 280mm Momo with 4 FREEWheel buttons, I also use a 40mm spacer on my Go-Race quick release column. The key for me was getting the correct FREEWheel button template. My car has a standard floor with Tillet B6 seats mounted on runners & I can see all of my dash and warning lights.2 points

2005 caterham r300 super light, Blue with white stripe under wrap, comes with heated screen and doors and does have heater installed. 20500 miles, 4 previous owners, track focused, would take Westfield in px if it helped. Factory built car Hpi clear and fully road legal on a 05 plate £19k based just north of Lichfield-staffs Dave 07836 22 55 061 point

There's no pairing, it's a secure 2 way radio transmission, not Bluetooth which is unreliable as you say. Response time is around 10ms - fast enough to be useful for paddleshift and to appear immediate... We ship to Europe regularly with a zero tariff rate, so you'd buy without VAT and pay local sales tax instead. (there's a 10% WSCC discount too) 🙂 Happy to answer any questions1 point

Donated mate. It's a longish-winded process but well worth supporting and I'm impressed you can do that Ian, I wouldn't get half a mile let alone half a marathon done!1 point

It is a fantastic, I fitted an 8-way system but I currently only use 5 of the ways. My 5th is a centre press horn. Clearance is fine. The only time I really notice the plate behind is when am manoeuvring and I occasionally catch the battery pack area behind the middle spoke.1 point

Same as the above one I guess + post or collection from Eastbourne1 point

The plan would be to remove the A frame and the wheels so it could only be moved when I wanted to. It seems it's almost impossible to find a genuine trailer for sale so worrying about it being damp might not be important.1 point

Errate .... Could not stand this nice weather despite left salt on dry nearby (on nearby hills luckily not white from salt : ). ) and took Road Westfield for a ride Few changes during winter - 2.98 first gear, lightweight 4.3 vs 8 kg flywheel , new steering rack , simplified fuel system and some minor changes . Good to be on road again ! As for the gearing - really its upgrade and more fun with donuts and starting on corners with lively rear vs original 3.6 type 9 gearbox 1st. But if I would do IT again I would go for even longer 2.7 (130 GBP more expensive but with all that work - worth it. At least with 3.92 diff). Rest works as was suppoused - more lively revving engine . New steering rack better self centering and confidence. And fuel system with swirlpot delete works ok . What a pleasure to drive Westfield around again !1 point

Ready for summer after a few jobs over winter, new wide track kit, new engine and gearbox mounts, new timing and aux belts, oil and filter change, new windscreen, new tyres, various new fasteners and a new plate is the cherry on top👌 I have also just ordered a new soft bits half hood today, can’t wait for the better weather, hopefully……1 point
