Just taxed mine, life is short and £345 is a small amount of money in the grand scheme of things. This was last Thursday at Ladybower.

I too keep mine taxed, just on the off chance of getting that 30minute blat should the weather be good.

Had a spare 5 minutes this afternoon so tried it for size doesn't look to bad at all

3ltr V6 AJ30 out of a stype Jag, Ford Duratec all alloy V6. Same bottom end as a ST220 Mondeo but with different heads which have solid cam followers and VVT on the inlet cam. Rocketeer conversion consists of: The carbon inlet manifolds, Exhaust manifolds, Aftermarket ECU, Custom made bell housing to mate the Mx5 box to the engine, Flywheel,and sump. Iirc it was circa 12k if they did the conversion, circa 6k if they just supplied the conversion kit.

Tax, definitely. Going out for a blat on an occasional fine day is more fun than doing a winter lay-up. Recently I've been talking the pay monthly option. I know that it's not the most economical option but it seems to hurt less. D
