  1. The cover's off! 6 months hibernation comes to end, tyres back down from 40 psi to 18, everything working OK apart from a very slight leak from the unused speedo drive on the gearbox. Time to get it taxed and get away from months of house renovation...

  2. @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman I’ll see you at Derby or on the route. @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary and @HB46443 you won’t need to photoshop any cars on the Carpark this month. The Cheshire and North Staffs group will provide them.

  3. Just a reminder that there will be no meet at the Golden Pheasant this month, we’re going to do a “meet the neighbours” instead, and head over to join the Derby and Notts Area Meeting, instead. I’m aiming to leave the Sandbach area around 6pm, hopefully it will be Westfield weather!

  4. I am insured through A Plan Thatcham based on storing the car on my drive. I actually keep it in an open fronted garage but this was not one of their options so we went for a less secure location to make sure it was insured.

  5. I started with 2nd edition 40k in the early 90's, when the box art captured my attention. It's always been Space Marines for me, but going to the village newsagents for my White Dwarf was always a good day! The scale and level of detail in the models now is worlds apart from the old school white metal models. Even though the model I posted is a kit bash of mine, there are plenty of others off the shelf models that are bigger, more detailed and more of a pain to build. Titan models are an actual thing now too......

  6. Warhammer 40k, that brings back happy memories! I started playing when Rogue Trader came out in 1987, waiting every month for the White Dwarf magazine to drop through the letterbox with new updates 😂 My late 80's Eldar, Harlequin and very rare Stumpy armies are still boxed up in the loft. The painting standards are quite primitive compared to yours though!

  7. ATS sometimes have a great deal on that size PS3s. I got 4 for £250 fitted about 18 months ago. In fact I just looked and it's currently 4 for £320 and you get a £50 M&S voucher as well. So about the same as the Rainsports when fitted I guess

  8. It's not lego, but it did take me a decent amount of time. This little fella leads my army of toy soldiers, and for scale stands on a 50mm diameter base. All hand/brush painted, including the freehanded letters and number on the shoulder pad and banner. It's the most detailed thing I've ever painted, and I reckon there's maybe 30 hours in the painting. I really need a better way of photographing my models. Do any of the modelling community on here have any tips?

  9. Assuming you are on 15" wheels put some Michelin Pilot sports or Rainsport 5s on..will be great on the road , excellent on the track in the rain and also good in the dry...are definitely good enough for most drivers to have fun on track... and they will last and won't break the bank!

  10. Yes I would upgrade for sure. R888Rs are on the whole bl**** good road and track day tyres for any kit in my experience

  11. Are TR1s really that bad. It’s all I have run so far, I have to be canny when it’s wet or rears are cold with the throttle inputs. It looked damp when that guy spun anyway. i have a 2.0 zetec on throttle bodies. Should I consider changing to 888r when I upgrade the cylinder head to hit 200bhp

  12. We were supplied T1Rs for our Sport 250. They didn't last long...

  13. Unlikely to make it to Derby @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Will probably be sorting Jo salon flat roof with the joiner! All this ruddy rain not helping!
