Easter Sunday in the Peak District could be risky with traffic jams and such like but not today, oh blimey, it was empty on the roads. 9 Westfield's met at a cold and cloudy Hulme End, 7 in a row here and the remaining 2 here Glynn was wearing some of our new club merchandise from 'logo that polo', here he is with his new wooly hat which perfectly matches the lovely colour of his Westfield After warming up inside the surprisingly empty cafe 9 Westfield's took off on our travels, heading straight for the Bentley Brook road, one of our favourites as it is sweeping bend after sweeping bend. After crossing the Via Gellia road, we were 7 Westfield's as 2 had to go home and it really got interesting, a mix of new tyres, dry roads, emptyness, ooo, Glen commented I was like a woman possesed, it was awesome. I would like to thank the great drivers behind me for being an excellent convoy, we didn't get split up once, making it much more enjoyable for me too. The roads were so quiet I took us through Bakewell, it was no problem, unbelievable what difference the sunshine makes i.e no sun, no tourists. After the excitement we landed at Quackers for lunch, where it was busy, so we sat outside. The cake flowed Andy's speedo was not working (officer!😁), it wasn't the fuse ???? Easter Bunnies have been replaced by Easter Frogs, which I can confirm are just as delicious Thanks for coming everyone, thanks for taking photo's on the move Becky and thanks for making a great day out all round. See you next time XXX5 points

How I love the Spring! Daffodils inexorably pushing their way through the soft soil to display their golden petals to the warming sun. The sickly sweet aroma of a half eaten, fluff covered Cadburys Cream Egg that has rolled under the sofa. The angry sound of snooze buttons being hit over and over as we mourn the loss of that precious hour of sleep. The happy sound of morning birdsong drowned out by next doors mower. The beautiful carpet of bluebells in many a secluded wood. The happy sight of the gov.uk website showing the car is no longer on SORN. The sound of industrious bee's buzzing around every blossom tree. The metallic clank of garage doors creaking open followed by the whirring of starter motors and fuel pumps awakening. The rhythmic tapping of fingers on keyboards accessing the WSCC Tech Forum trying to find out why the bl**** car won't start. Finally, the cough and splutter of a rough idle early on a Sunday morning to notify sleepy neighbours that Westfield season has truly started! Why not celebrate with friends new and old at the Clock Warehouse on Thursday evening!? We have lots on this year, with Kitfest in 2 weeks, Malvern in 9 weeks, the Sprint Series back at Curborough and Mallory in June plus our normal meets in the Peaks and local area. Hopefully the weather gods will play ball and we can get some cars out! As normal we will be upstairs from about 7pm. See you there!!!! Rob1 point

It's not lego, but it did take me a decent amount of time. This little fella leads my army of toy soldiers, and for scale stands on a 50mm diameter base. All hand/brush painted, including the freehanded letters and number on the shoulder pad and banner. It's the most detailed thing I've ever painted, and I reckon there's maybe 30 hours in the painting. I really need a better way of photographing my models. Do any of the modelling community on here have any tips?1 point

Are TR1s really that bad. It’s all I have run so far, I have to be canny when it’s wet or rears are cold with the throttle inputs. It looked damp when that guy spun anyway. i have a 2.0 zetec on throttle bodies. Should I consider changing to 888r when I upgrade the cylinder head to hit 200bhp1 point

We were supplied T1Rs for our Sport 250. They didn't last long...1 point

Hi guys. As Barry as said. We will be doing a technical day to instill confidence in your cars with the aim to get venturing out more. I dont know if its been done before but a list i have attached will be some of the items we will be going through. We have a bunch of great guys with much experience in many sectors so lets use it. Ideas of modifications will be discussed also along with any worries , concerns or noises you have with your car. With great food, friendly banter plus a few aeroplanes in the mix it should be a cracker. Hope to see you there Martin and Barry1 point

I think we should try and sort something out if the weather ever improves. Stow area or where Stuart mentioned around Toddington would be great. There is a 1st Wednesday of each month evening car meet at Cotswold Barn, near Moreton in the Marsh, that was a nice run out on a sunny evening, BBQ running and cars in a field.1 point
