  1. Weather dependent this one, but I have three hours from 10.15am until 1.15pm on Saturday 3rd Feb and thought I could dive up to Cheddar Gorge and back to make the most of it. Mrs Stu is away for the day, and I will be dropping my small person in Yeovil for 10.15am, then plan to follow the attached route which should get me back in plenty of time. Feel free to join me either from Yeovil or we can meet anywhere enroute. I have a fixed timeline so can’t be late back to Yeovil otherwise….. 😬🤣 Let me know if you are interested, might even be nice to catch up with any Bristol area members albeit relatively briefly.@Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO @Flying Carrot Steve I will make a call on Friday based on forecast.

  2. Thanks for a great run out everyone, particularly to Julie for organising. It’s unusual to see my TVR looking bigger than anything else and good to stretch its legs 😊. Good luck to Jake in sorting out the damage

  3. Just got myself on the list for both days. It looks like my bog standard Zetec black top FW SEI is class 4D Road Cars Specialist Production any capacity. WSCC Speed Series is in the list of championships, but there is no INV class for us now, I guess it reflects the change in scoring methodology. Hope some others come and join me in the South West.

  4. January 3rd, 2024 Spend: £16.60 Continuing with the side panel by bonding in the bonnet locating block And then trial fitted it all when cured January 14th, 2024 Spend: £48.00 Dreaded this moment a bit, but it's now time to fit some AeroCatches to replace the old bonnet locks. Decided against the lower position which would have covered up the two holes left by the old lock, but would have also mean some extensive cutting away of the bonnet locating blocks. Used Everbuild Stixall to bond it in. January 20th, 2024 Spend: £0.00 Fabricated a bracket from an old metal T plate and managed to position it such that it clears the side panel and sits on a metal plate underneath the bodywork. Did have to remove the VIN plate, but found a nice new location for that already. January 27th, 2024 Spend: £84.60 Used some vinyl wrap to tidy up the are where the bonnet fixing bracket sits and the side panel part that is covered by the detachable side panel. January 28th, 2024 Spend: £0.00 Using the laser level and a template from when the exhaust headers were fitted, I cut a hole in the side panel, just about big enough for the headers to pass through. Still need to enlarge it though as I can't remove the panel with the headers fitted. To be continued next month Last month: £ 5486.94 This month: £ 149.20 ----------+ Total: £ 5636.14

  10. Won a raffle prize at this year’s awards dinner, a baseball cap with the new WSCC / Union Flag mixed logo, and an umbrella, which arrived safely this morning! While I was obviously pleased to win these prizes, I already have more umbrellas than I know what to do with, I figured it might just become a prize at my local area meet. However, when I opened it up, to my delight it turned out to be a rectangular one, perfect for covering the cockpit when parked during unexpected showers or for two people - nice! 😎👍 So a big thanks to @Nigel Trilk - Westfield Sportcars Ltd for my prizes and for sending them so quickly! Now I need to figure out a way to secure it to the handbrake lever so none of my fellow club members nicks it when my back is turned! 😬
