  1. Nice run down to West Bay with my mini co-pilot. Waved at our reflection, screamed in Beaminster tunnel and had a large ice cream, of course 🤣.

  3. I am still building my ZK kit that I bought in November 2020 - I guess it may be one of the very last cars from the old company to be completed - is that a good thing or bad I wonder? As everyone who has built a Westfield from a kit knows, there will be parts missing but of course when the company no longer exists to send out the parts by return as they used to, you are cut adrift. Well, today, while struggling with GRP that is 30 months old (not sure that age is actually a major factor - it's more of a problem with consistency of manufacture) I discovered that there was no fitting kit for the hood. I thought I had been through the picking list enough times to have ensured that I had everything but of course, with the huge gaps in the documentation provided with the ZK kit you don't actually know what you need until you realise that you haven't got it! So I spoke to Ewan and Jason at Westfield-Chesil to ask if they were able to help a customer of the old company to obtain the missing parts. While they made it clear that they can have no formal obligation to customers of Westfield Sportscars, they were both super helpful and after a bit of investigation into what is needed to fit the standard ZK hood they have identified the missing parts - the three part press studs - and agreed to supply them - great! Hopefully I'll be collecting them at Malvern on Saturday. It's good to know that there is still support available when you need it.

  6. Hi Yes I sold it earlier this year to the current owner with no issues, I didn't know it is up for sale, the asking price is alot higher than mine but I guess it is summer!! To be fair when you add up all the goodies on it ,exhaust, gearbox, weather gear etc some would say fair price. But I had it on here for 13.5k but I needed it gone to get a motorbike 🛵. Regards David, (still a member till September).

  8. Wow! I just accepted an offer on my Westfield! I never thought this would happen but I'm quite happy with the decision. The car is amazing... too amazing to the point it's scary and since being ill last year it's too much for me. The new owner is new to Westfield's but local so you may see him about so give him a wave. I've met some great people through my ownership and I might still pop along to the occasional meet to keep in contact. Thank you for all the great memories 😁

  9. I am changing my motorhome so have my 4 berth Motorhome for sale. This is a 2018 model with tow bar, large through garage, two double beds (one lowers electrically from ceiling). Really good quality, spacious and has Thule awning. Mileage is 18000 and has MOT for about 11 months. It has toilet, shower, oven , hob, large fridge and lots of fancy interior lighting. There is lots more to list about this but if anyone is really interested please contact me for pics etc I would like £65000 £60000 as they are selling at the dealers for around £75000- £80000 at the moment. It will be going on auto trader next week. Burstner are probably one of the best you can buy

  10. 2 guys, 1 week camping in Le Mans 6 years on the bounce, and this car has no boot. Had I been alone, all that would have fitted in the passenger space even with the seat in place. There would have been one less deck chair and one less sleeping bag but all the rest (IE enough luggage for 2) would have fitted in the passenger side...

  15. No, it's a Q plate, so visible test only. Last year I had the guy at the MOT centre I use test the CO anyway as I was curious, and it was well in the limit as the limits on the v5 are pre-cat anyway.

  16. That is a nice car, taking the MOT pass, I note on the V5C that there are emission limits in the notes, a Q-plate is visible smoke only, did the tester actually ram the probe up the exhaust? Ian

  17. May 1st, 2023 Spend: £0.00 A lovely spring weather evening called for a spontaneous trip with my son and daughter. Pulled over at Althorp estate and got few nice pictures. May 11th, 2023 Spend: £270.00 After I replaced my front wishbones I knew I needed the wheel alignment checked and so I booked it in with Northampton Motorsport. Was very surprised to learn that the car only weighs 680Kg. I expected it to be a lot more given the size of the engine. May 13th, 2023 Spend: £0.00 Attended the Westfield-Chesil factory open day. A great turnout at the new facilities in Bicester. May 23rd, 2023 Spend: £0.00 It's the Annual National Drive your Westfield to Work Day(Week) and as the organiser I obviously had no choice but to visit the office. However, on the way back, about 12 miles before reaching home I noticed my right front cycle wing dancing around. As it turns out, the cycle wing stay had broken off. I managed to limp home and drop the thing off at Precision Welding who has done lots of bits for me in the past May 27th, 2023 Spend: £15.00 Cycle wing stay repaired, painted and fitted again May 28th, 2023 Spend: £0.00 Since having the alignment done, my steering wheel was no longer straight when going in a straight line. But as the boss was tight fitting, I had to fabricate a steering wheel puller. This was my first time using the welder I got for my birthday 2 years ago and after practising a few lines, I was confident enough to start. It's not the prettiest of welds, but it has worked a treat, and the steering wheel is back on straight. Last month: £ 5102.23 This month: £ 285.00 ----------+ Total: £ 5387.23
