Lancia Stratos. Had a Lancia beta coupe but every time you braked a bit more of the bodywork came off.3 points

tub positions can have slight variations against chassis pick up points so I wouldn't advise using someone else's template (from experience!)2 points

Day 6 Without going into detail, a family gathering was attended today, to finally put my late uncle to rest in the plot of ground he requested next to his wife. Words were said and a few tears but we have now drawn a line under that chapter. After that , we went to a lovely little eatery, called the Red Fox in Thornton Hough ( which having seen it again, I had been to about 20 years ago for a Christmas do). Much food was consumed, here is my main meal, and very nice it was too... After that we went back to a family members house who lives on Parkgate front, with stunning views of coastal North Wales. THe weather was dreadful to be fair and it legged it down about 15 mins after taking this pic. Tomorrow some more old friends to catch up on. More soon.1 point

I think most people who compete in the Speed Series don't both with insurance, because first the cost, so in effect acting as their own insurer, and secondly the majority of the competitors are mechanically minded, and would carry out much of any repairs themselves in the event of an unfortunate shunt.1 point

Well, I'm not so sure about cars I wish I had owned, but I did own a Mini Cooper S 1275 (actually it was 1293, because it had over-bored high compression pistons) and a Healey 3000 but mine was a lovely blue. Also a couple of Capri 2.8i back when they were new. And an Aston Martin DBS Vantage (not the modern one, the one with a straight 6 engine which was the replacement for the DB6). And I've got a 4.2 Jaguar XKR, but that is going to Buxton, for a classic car auction on Wednesday. (H&H Classics, lot 11 if anyone is interested!)1 point

Hi Ben if you do come up north give me a bell either on here or by pm and we can hopefully arrange to meet up id echo the sentiments of Chris the west / north side going clockwise is the best, however there are some interesting points to explore with your good lady amongst these are gardens and castle of mey, Dunrobin castle, if you don’t mind a walk then add Fyrish monument . heading down to Edinburgh can be done with the minimal motorway by taking the Glenshee road and again coming north it’s possible to take the scenic route via aberfoyle the dukes pass then head for tyndrum , glencoe, a wee detour along Glen Etive (Skyfall fame ) then fort William and Inverness . like I said give me a shout once we’re home / your ready and we can discuss if you want cheers Gary1 point

Day 5 Great day, this morning was dry so went for a short run, called into the local craft centre but no leatherette was found. Need to go into town for that. Took a pic anyway I then took a run to see an old house my gran once owned, by chance the owner was watering his garden, and as I was parked up, the chap looked at me ,I looked at the chap - this went on for some seconds… Not wishing to appear a weirdo. I got out of the car and explained who I was and my attachment to the house. Once i gave him enough info on the house he very kindly showed me the house both inside and out. Some great memories came flooding back. On the way home called into the Cottage Loaf pub, another old haunt from my Triumph car club days I didnt photograph my lunch, pub was too busy and it felt weird taking a pic of a sandwich… Busy day tomorrow with a family gathering, next week i plan on doing North Wales for a day or so More soon1 point

If you couldn't make it or weren't sure if it was worth the trip I have put some photo's on for you so you can decide for yourself. My opinion? it was only lacking in one thing and that was YOU AND YOUR CAR. There were 12 Westfield's there today. We paid £15 to enter, £5 driver, £10 passenger, Rob tells me he paid £10 for both days including camping. I guess the first year is always going to be the quietest year, so it will be interesting to see how it evolves but it is only a few minutes drive away from the A1, geographically speaking it is easy access to a very large audience. You can see Rob and Glynn's tents behind the cars. Tony and Russ, our new friends The only club branded item on show was the Peak District flag Spiderman and Lady Bug were walking around the show @AndrewBClarke kept up the Peak District tradition in @aeg and @Andy Westwood 's absence and was eating most of the day The weather remained dry with only a few spots of rain back in Chesterfield and it was so warm, humid even, the driving was really weird. 1 cyclist, no tractors, speed limits lower than the wide country road suggests, very boring and very quiet so I am looking forward to getting back on some steep, twisties next weekend. Lovely to see you, all 12 of you🙄😁👍1 point

What Mark said. There were special models over the years from Westfield that were able to be sold normally in Europe. Outside of those models, it's very, very difficult, and usually has to be done on a one to one basis, as far as I know, if possible at all in the destination country. The only exceptions granted that I'm aware of are on models old enough to be covered by classic car regs in the destination countries, which typically means a Westfield built and registered, before around 1989/90 or so.1 point
