  1. A few more photo's from me, I am not sure if we are a car cub or a cake club😮 @neptune Why choose when you can have 4 small pieces instead of 1 big piece Later at the Stone Centre Big Andy's favourite, Lemon Meringue followed by Victoria Sponge cake Glynn is partial to Lemon Meringue but he was inventive and had ice cream with it, watch out! aeg is eyeing it up!! Perhaps we need a trip to the Lemon Meringue cafe nr Ashbourne, we haven't been there for ages have we @Trevor Little (Trevturtle) ? Thankfully our Cake Meister @Andy Westwoodis on holiday next week and Cake Face @aeg is working, so @AndrewBClarke you have a clear run of it.

  2. Nobody wore a suit today but hey, a girly lives in hope, sigh, one day. First to arrive was Glynn with his BEANO liveried car, Gnasher fits in nicely with his colour scheme and it is very kind of him to leave Dennis the Menace colours to @RobH72😁. We met at McD's for a quick brew We took a route round to bring us to Chatsworth Garden Centre which is actually only 6 miles away from the start, my original route headed further West and the weather report made me change my mind on that one. Some pics en route We arrived at Chatsworth just in time for one of their super beef dinners Parked in the overflow car park out of the way Thanks to Andy Westwood for climbing high to take this photo Overload on foody photo's for which I apologise in advance, but what a beef dinner but of course the Andy's @Andy Westwoodand @aeg stole the show when they saw this lot on offer the more we eat and drink, the merrier we get The Vines Restaurant - is in a lovely setting and comes very recommended, those cakes were exceptional, a cut above and worth every single calorie Becky mentioned that she needed some ice cream on the way home, really? well you need company then, so Andy W gave me the route (excellent) that he wanted to take and Becky told me where she wanted to be and off we went.....to the Stone Centre (good choice)......and more sweet treats were consumed OMG! Parked at the Stone Centre Can someone please help aeg fix his gear box, obviously the reverse gear is not engaging, that's twice today🙄 tut tut So, listen up, next Sunday we are meeting at McD's as usual, getting breakfast/brunch at The Yondermann before going a run through the Peak District to a road near Hartington to do some filming/photography. Rob has arranged for this to happen so don't miss out, it will be a good one. Lastly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow to Debbie, our soooper Westfield Wife to Big Andy. Love to you darling, you are a good 'un XXXXX❤️🍰

  4. Wow what a day !!!! Thank you all for another wonderful day in the Peak District with great friends. Many thanks to Julie for taking us out and about for great roads and views off the beaten track and away from the crowds but a special thanks to Andy Westwood for the great route to the Stone centre avoiding the mayhem of Matlock and all the traffic lights, I’ll put it in my route planning memory banks 🤣 take care and see you all soon Becky and Andy the open roads beckon through Chatsworth park we go follow the car in front they know where we’re going ? What a lovely grey coloured car, I’ve heard it’s the new ‘IN ‘ colour 😜 Notice how someone moved seats when the cake arrived !

  5. David’s hood is for a widebody car. You might find this thread useful to work out whether yours is a “standard” narrow body or a widebody car as Westfield would have been selling both in 1994.

  8. We enjoyed our trip in 2019 so much, that we booked to go back in 2020, but you all know what happened in March 2020. 2021 didn't happen either. On Tue 28th June, @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman @Greenstreak-Andy D @Stu Faulkner & I sail from Harwich for 11 great days of Euroblatting with a least six countries and 1800 miles to drive. 2 ferries, 1 train and 4 different hotels. Here's a clue to our route- We've had a few challenges to over come including the train company we paid in 2020, giving us a voucher that was valid until 2030. They now don't travel from Dusseldorf to Innsbruck and wouldn't give us our money back. They could offer Hamburg to Innsbruck, but driving further North and East, when you're trying to go south doesn't really help. We got the Austrian Train ombudsman involved and our money came back. Our new train company (Urlaub Express) was booked for the same journey (very few options of dates in this post Covid era), shortly after booking they advise they can only move us as far as Munich. So we've adapted our route and have found some great roads to drive from Munich to our base camp in Nauders. To be continued.....................

  9. Has been modified by the original builder to expose the battery that's fitted in the rear. This is strictly collection only from Northampton. There is no chance I will be able to post this.

  10. For Sale – Westfield SuperTec - 628BHP per Tonne - £27,777. Due to an unexpected opportunity I offer for sale a well known & very special Westfield (Nessie). Whilst owning the car it has been developed further preparing the car for use on public roads (improved cooling, installation of larger fuel tank and compressor to operate the Quaife sequential paddle change & remapped by NMS 330BHP). It now has passed an MOT (daylight running) History The car was originally built to a very high standard by Paul Aspden, the founder of Playskool Motorsport in circa 1999/2000. It was also owned by WSCC legends, Steve Davies and latterly Mike Allard (The Duck). Mike ran the car successfully in the Speed Series for a time before Richard Kerr purchased her in around 2005/6. It ran a high performance Vauxhall XE with around 235hp and was mated to a Quaife Syncro box. Initial development produced more power (262 BHP), a Quaife Dog Box. Resulting in winning the Speed Series outright in ’09. The biggest developments came in 2012 when the journey to 357hp began. Two years spare time lost in the workshop, developing parts, engineering them, trial fitting, many late nights, a whole load of goodwill and a substantial amount of money later, the SuperTec was born! Not for the faint hearted, this car will do 0 – 60 in 2.5 seconds and will get you to 100mph in under 5.7 seconds, it really is that quick! Spec as follows: Engine Freshly rebuilt in 2020, mapped & run in by Troy at NMS. Covered less than 500 miles. 2.0 Supercharged Duratec producing 357bhp on NMS Rollers (525kg car) - car detuned to 330BHP by Troy 2021. 11. Meet at McDonalds, Bakewell Road, Matlock, DE4 3AU 10am and be ready to leave at 10.15am i.e you have time for a pee but not breakfast. We will then take the 25 minute journey to the Yondermann Cafe, Wardlow Mires, SK17 8RW for a breakfast. Other food is available so please check their website for the menu. The cakes are homemade, just sayin'. It is a biker's cafe and very popular. We will then take a 25 minute journey South to a quiet road in order to do some filming with a drone. Rob has very kindly helped set this event up and will be bringing his rebellious rabble with him, so will you be joining us? please let us know.

  15. This time is looks like a full Le Mans body panel set apart from the scuttle moulding https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195166641371?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D1fef3425845c4737ad72f081e9aa1927%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D204008746732%26itm%3D195166641371%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DWestfield&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ae18a4b7c-f60c-11ec-b3af-6a7e40e89282|parentrq%3Aa4ef90971810a6466e099323fffa7e2c|iid%3A1 Look at the seller's other items that include a flat back clam and a pair of unused front lower wishbones.

  16. If you plan to stay out of city centres then diesel would be my choice. There are several UK city's already looking to ban diesels in their central areas (Google it) so for those of us who do drive "in town" it could be a factor. I'm not jumping to electric 'cos I too believe hydrogen will be the future so in the interim my new daily, replacing my beloved 55 plate diesel Focus is a more modern petrol turbo. Economical, good power and torque characteristics and I save £12.50 on every trip to the kebab shop which is now the "wrong side" of the north circular thanks to Sidiq Khan...

  17. Great run today Julie thanks 👍 Just in case you wondered how Andy Westwood got his aerial photo! And a grid start at the stone centre before realising the proper car park was empty!

  18. Thanks for another great day around the roads of the Peaks with great company. We both had lovely time and lovely meal and cake too. Not sure having a sign about calories next to the cakes is a good selling point. I only consumed 1400 calories of cakes. Delicious 😋

  21. If you are looking at buying a car then a duratec would be a great way to go.. Having had a tuned Zetec previously and now a mildly tuned Duratec both are great but ultimately I think duratec is the better engine.. However depends what you are doing with it and also what you are ultimately after to rock your boat! I do that @The artist formerly known as Rush Motorsport has a really nice lively duratec...

  22. stick in a zetec , omex throttle bodies use a dunnel zrv camshaft kit , ttv lightweight flywheel to get a nice super reliable 205bhp.. .. with slightly better torque than a 420r caterham duratec .. i have this and you certainly dont need any more at all for the road.. on the track not allot stays with you .. you need to look at torque graphs , thats the key to a nice power delivery .. all this BHP is a bit irrelevant ..

  23. The discount offer from Go Race is now up, here: https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/148330-a-special-members-only-deal-for-quick-release-steering-columns-from-go-race/ This is the Club's turn to try and help out some of the smaller manufacturers caught holding stock of Westfield specific parts, and at the same time, bring a good discount to our own members, especially those hurting from the recent events. We will make case by case exceptions to try and help any of the smaller businesses in a similar position, waiving the normal Traders status requirements for them so they can run one off deals that also help our members. - we'd rather this saving were passed on the the Club members buying the stock up. If any other manufacturers/suppliers are in similar positions, with bespoke stock not paid for by, or dispatched to, WSC Ltd then and you want to see if we can help, please contact either myself or the Club Secretary. Thank you chairman@wscc.co.uk or secretary@wscc.co.uk.

  25. Spent almost an entire afternoon with a potential buyer yesterday including a half hour test drive. Agreed a price (reluctantly) and was told he'd send full payment today. Just had text from him this morning saying he has to pull out as he apparently "hadn't discussed it with his partner first"... 😕
