Next Peaky run I'm going to put my tuxedo on and turn up in the Aston, just to see Julie go weak at the knees (or is that solely reserved for ABC in a suit?....)3 points

We enjoyed our trip in 2019 so much, that we booked to go back in 2020, but you all know what happened in March 2020. 2021 didn't happen either. On Tue 28th June, @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman @Greenstreak-Andy D @Stu Faulkner & I sail from Harwich for 11 great days of Euroblatting with a least six countries and 1800 miles to drive. 2 ferries, 1 train and 4 different hotels. Here's a clue to our route- We've had a few challenges to over come including the train company we paid in 2020, giving us a voucher that was valid until 2030. They now don't travel from Dusseldorf to Innsbruck and wouldn't give us our money back. They could offer Hamburg to Innsbruck, but driving further North and East, when you're trying to go south doesn't really help. We got the Austrian Train ombudsman involved and our money came back. Our new train company (Urlaub Express) was booked for the same journey (very few options of dates in this post Covid era), shortly after booking they advise they can only move us as far as Munich. So we've adapted our route and have found some great roads to drive from Munich to our base camp in Nauders. To be continued.....................1 point

Hi David, Like Neptune I also have a Duratec and again I am more than happy with the performance. Sometimes I don't realise how quick till i look at the speedo!! But again a good drive out away from the main roads really puts a smile on your face.1 point

As Jack said depends on what your used to and what you are expecting from a westfield. I have a 2.0 duratec with TBs in mine and it puts a big grin on my face every time I drive it. It makes a fantastic noise. It's a quick car, but when it reaches 4000 rpm, there's a step change in power delivery and it's bonkers. However the most enjoyment on the road is a good twisty B road rather than a fast A road IMHO where the bhp isn't really important1 point

I have no idea if youβll be disappointed. With TBs and standard cams they are quick enough but a set of cams really brings them alive especially if you use it on track. ETA, 2.1 Duratec for sale soonβ¦!1 point

Very difficult question to answer. All depends on what you are used to/expecting. A 120bhp engine in a well set up, light car will be a hoot to drive in the right circumstance. Duratec assuming 2.0 on TBβs should be good for 190-200bhp so should be plenty fun enough. In my opinion and experience my skill level is the limiting factor rather than the car and Iβm running a zetec circa 150bhp.1 point

What a fantastic gift! I got a book that my youngest daughter gave to me which I opened this morning and then my eldest daughter (turned 13 yesterday) came down and saw the book and thinking she is doing the right thing went and wrapped it up quietly not knowing I've already unwrapped it, thanks girls! π1 point

49 on the Saturday, and 47 on the Sunday by the looks of it. It means you should get lots of runs in! So bargain time should surely tempt some late comers?1 point
