Poor Peter, he looked absolutely Hedlified when he climbed out of the car!6 points

Peter rushed down the stairs saying ‘emergency emergency’. What is wrong we ask. I’ve got some grey hairs. Oh, we respond. That’s probably as you had a ride in @HB46443’s car. oh yeah says Peter and retires to his room completely satisfied with this explanation.5 points

Time to put a rumour to bed (probably started by @Scott Young (Captain Colonial) - Club Secretary 😉) I'm not a saggy, old cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams! I've never named any of my cars and I didn't name this one! Someone else did....read on........ on the 6th Nov 2014, I visited Westfield Sports Cars for the first time and placed an order for a Mega S2000 full kit with White bodywork (having tested and bough a S2000 engine and gearbox that morning). I've had previous white cars: As I started my build, I soon learned that I'd need to fit indicator pods on my nose cone to meet IVA requirement. Post IVA I planned to move the indicators to under the headlamps. I therefore didn't want to drill holes in my nice new white nose cone to have to fill them later on. @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman kindly offered to lend my his spare nose cone which already had holes for the pods. It was bright yellow and was slightly damaged. Dave suggested it would need repairing and painting for IVA, so I asked if he wanted it painted the same colour as it was, the same colour as his blue S2000 or white. Dave said, do whatever I want or even do something daft! A quick google and a found a colour I liked. As the father of two girls, it was a colour I was comfortable with. A quick photoshop mock up and I was happy: Dave's nose was quickly repaired and painted for 'mates rates' by a friend in a body shop. On the 17th March 2016, I was 'followed' by this car, all the way to my IVA Test As I was unloading, the Examiner came across to say hello and said that he likes Westfield's and they are usually well built for IVA, though he had to ask 'Why have you painted your nose pink?" My reply "So you won't want it in your test bay for long, and you won't want it back!' This set the tone for an enjoyable morning and I walked out with a pass. Shortly after I got home, the indicator pods 'fell off' and the nose cone holes were filled in. It wasn't quite time for my pink phase to end. My unique car had gained plenty of WSCC fans (Especially @CosKev) during my build and they needed to see it in the flesh. Also a certain 'kit car show' was close by: Also a run out to my local Cheshire and North Staffs WSCC Meet, which was sharing the pub with the Ferrari owners club: If you zoom in, you'll spy an 'ouch' sticker over my attempt to fill/paint the holes. Here's it next to @lloydox (builder) @fildyke(current owner) lovely S2000, for my Geometry set-up. On the 19th June 2016 (Father's Day)- I was attending a local transport festival. I put my full size front number plate on( @marcusb honestly, officer!) , and less than 3 miles from home, as soon as my speed went passed 30mph, it fell off and got driven over! It's been in the boot since! During my build, after the nose colour was decided, I'd noticed that my local bus company had taken design inspiration from me and stickered up their fleet! So as it was Father's Day, I though I best visit my local bus depot for a 'Father and Son' Selfie: After IVA I also fitted one of @Kit Car Electronics excellent Free Wheel kits. In the press of a button the end of pink...........or is it.............. My car ran like this from 21st June 2016 until July 2017 and the pink nose went back to @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman as a spare. Every time the garage door was rolled up, I did miss the pink nose. Fate was about to play it's hand. @Greenstreak-Andy D invited @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman and I to his 50th Birthday celebration at the 2017 Le Mans 24H, which was to be our first Euroblat. The trip was excellent and after the race, rather than rush back home we had a few more additional days bimbling round northern France. On one of these days I had an 'Oh la, la ' moment after a long hot, tiring day with a dry stone wall on our hotel carpark, whilst reversing, I failed to note how close my rear driver's side wing was to the abutment on the wall. Which resulted in: It didn't ruin the great trip, but wasn't going to stop like that. My wife, kindly suggested it wouldn't rust and could stay like that! I'd done similar but less significant damage to the passenger side arch on my own driveway, when reversing without mirrors during my build and had badly bodged it with gelcoat. So both wings needed to be repaired properly. Time for some colour & with some help from Photoshop, I was stuck between these two colours: @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman kindly agreed to sell me the pink nose, the rear wings were removed and all items went back to my friend to be repaired and painted. I 'really' enjoyed removing the silicon sealant used to hold the stone guards on with. The first meet with my new colour scheme was the excellent Gold Cup at Oulton Park in Aug 2017 You'll notice the 'ouch' stickers still on the nose cone, my friend in the Body Shop had a holiday to go on, and the nose had to wait a while longer. In Sep 2017, I attended a Peak District Meet at Tatton Airfield, and during lunch the discussion turned to a name for my car. @Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) was mentioned and I stupidly suggested 'Primrose' in jest (I was quickly corrected by the green fingered ones amongst us that they are yellow too ). @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative blurted out 'Bagpuss' in between chomps of cake and the name has stuck ever since. She shortly after gifted my bonnet ornament of the stuffed toy and most in the club started to refer to me as Bagpuss too. So I've not fought it! I've been called much worse 😉4 points

I'll be there at 10am if it isn't wet Have to be back for 1pm so that Gemma can go out on the horse, but that still gives me some quality time for turning money into CO2, heat and glorious noise.3 points

In this case, it's an ordinary ethernet network cable. The router I use (from Plusnet) is quite a few years old now, it just has ethernet sockets. I have seen new routers with sockets for both ethernet cables and RJ45 phone lines - I expect this is what Blatters was referring to.1 point

I have a VOIP service for my business line (I work from home). I was given an interface box that plugs into my router, and the phone plugs into that. So maybe if you have your own router, this is an option.1 point

So to follow on from some of the questions I have been sent. This chassis was bought from RWD motorsport (really good friend of mine) he bought it direct from Westfield some years ago & used it purely for show purposes. For those that have asked if it has been reinforced etc. The chassis originally was built by Westfield to develop an electric car hence why it has a couple of extra cross tubes etc as believe they used an Aerorace chassis as a start point. This never actually happened & my friend bought it from them. The only bar/frame he had to remove was a mounting plate that was attached at the bellhousing end of the chassis which was so that an electric motor could be mounted too. Like I said this was removed by him & the chassis re-powder coated so that he could fit a duratec engine & gearbox. I originally saw the chassis with duratec engine & gearbox diff etc fitted, but he sold these previously before I bought the chassis from him. Hope this helps with some of the questions. But if you want to know anything else let me know. Thanks1 point

We (Spax)was using about 2 yearsago a big fat switch on the wall, 3 or 4 Isdn lines and something like 14 phones. During a power spike the switch let out a puff of black smoke. A short term solution was the main number was put on to a normal line and one inward bound phone.. for about a week. I bought a suitable power supply for the switch crossed my fingers and it worked and luck was in. Knowing this was all old tech I looked into VoIP . The major advantage was that there is no hardware other than the physical phone and to use the existing cat5e network. Internet cost is cheaper than the old ISDN lines. Performance has been faultless. The only major down side is that the BT online system for setting up out of hours messages, opening times, and so forth is impossible for a fairly tech savy person like me. I had to get BT’s crack team to set it up as non of there normal team could make it work either. The YeaLink Chinese phones work fine , don’t feel as nice as the old Siemens phones. Having paid BT for the YeaLink I’d of hoped BT would of put there name on them. yes if the electric goes off the phones don’t work. But neither do the computers or much else. They come back to life quicker than the old switch did after a power outage. Daisy chaining some of the PC’s off the phones has made no difference to PC performance. We are not watching HD movies. For us it’s been a positive move. The odd Rare fax automatically gets converted into an email which is nice.1 point

Mine will be for sale shortly Lee. Track focused, but road legal 2.1 Duratec, fully built 242bhp engine with dry sump. There are some jobs I need to do to prepare it for sale but happy to have a conversation if you fancy a (small) project.1 point

Excellent reading, I didn't know that you also had owned a MR2, weirdly I didn't like driving ours and Glen mostly drove it. Bagpuss Pink is by far just the very best colour for a Westfield, looks great on the Peak District photo's and makes my life easy when I am looking for the last car in the convoy, the pink nose really stands out 😻😻😻1 point

Pink is the new cool! Wouldn’t be the same without a pink nose, and 🫤 wings too!1 point

I did not start or promote that rumour. However, I have done nothing to dispel it, either. For the record, to the best of my knowledge, you are not saggy, old (in the conventional sense, but perhaps in cat years), baggy or loose at the seams. I would say that you are playing ice hockey with a warped puck, but that you’re much liked by all despite your best efforts. Finally, your well-flashed p***y is a disgrace. It’s filthy and needs a good wash at 30c. You should be ashamed.1 point

With 18 cars and well over 20 people coming on half term holiday week I had a last minute panic for where to go that would fit us all in, the landlord of the Bentley Brook had been very welcoming last time we went so I rang him up and he was straight there, 'Yes come along, we can feed you all, I will block the top car park off ready for you' so a quick change of route and all was well, phew. We arrived to see Glynn, not only could he not find that cake he had hidden under the bonnet earlier 😄 but also his hydraulic clutch was not working. He couldn't get the gears and thought that removing a washer would change where it bites and fix it. Dave E was quick to give advice with IanK and RobH quick to lend their mole grips. I was the clutch peddle pusher of course, any excuse to try out the driving position of another Westfield. A test drive around the car park, btw Glynn, it sounded good! We were many cars, 18 I think, in McD's car park We did filled a good section of the McD's restaurant too Next, we set off for a major pose through Matlock Bath, where we got plenty of views before setting off on the open country roads. Glynn waved as he went past shouting 'Clutch not good!!.' and headed for home. Another pose through Bakewell before going onto the really empty country roads, past all the motorbikers that now all seem to congregate in Monyash, before taking that last amazing Bentley Brook Road. We followed 3 TVR's for a while and saw lots of motorbikes, more than normal, but saw no other interesting vehicles en route. The weather stayed dry with a mixture of sun and cloud, better than Monaco hey. We arrived at the Bentley Brook Inn, 16 cars in total, what a great drive we had. The Bentley Brook Inn. The carvery was on as well as the full menu, the food is excellent here, it is well staffed with quick service too. Great fangs 🧛♀️ there John at the head of the table. But what a wonderful surprise, Glynn (at the head of the table) had popped home, jumped in the tin top and came back to meet us for lunch, how lovely. Luke had only got one wing on his car so couldn't make it out but did say to come and see him on our way home. Where was he? at Adam's Happy Hen's of course, so off we went. One of @HB46443 Hedley's friends was there too😃 Adam's Happy Hen's Luke, Gemma and Libby helped us to empty the shop of traybakes and ice cream. Yep, another super fantastically fun day out, thanks folks and a big thank you to Rob for bringing so many and looking after them. Next weekend is the Jubillee so I will be really careful to avoid it, for instance, the Bentley Brook Inn has live music and a BBQ on next Sunday, that will mean - busy. Join us if you can ❤️1 point

We had a good run today, first one for a while. Meeting at the Fox and Grapes were me, @Breakable?and Debs, @francis and @johnno, we left just after 10 and went over to the Seaways cafe at Fridaythorp to meet @Never Too Oldand Judy. That made 5, a manageable number of cars to lead. We made it to the NY500 for a coffee and loo break and a chat, then on to Scarborough taking some roads I wasn't familiar with. Not going the usual way makes a difference sometimes. A stop on Marine Drive for fish and chips, but we decided it was too far to walk, so we thought we'd drive to Bridlington instead. Frank left us on the way, taking a different route home ( we did know, didn't just leave him) When we got there, it was busy. A Kite festival was taking place on the seafront and parking together was impossible. So a quick u-turn and found "The best fish shop in the UK" with a photo of Camilla in it. It was then time for fuel and loo, and start the journey home. Roger led us towards Driffield, where me and Simon turned off towards York. Good weather, cloudy, but warm and dry, with lots of bikes and cars out.1 point
