  1. Just a touch? The main advantage to the full cage is the amount of decoration space available. The wife is in charge so I expect the car to double its weight in decorations.

  3. @OldStager is right, I’ve just had a look back of house, and @corsechris mailbox is only a little over half full. @IainCameron can you try again, please. And if it fails again, can you screenshot the exact failure message, so we can investigate, thanks.

  5. I’ve sent Chris a message to check his inbox Iain, (admin messages should bypass the mail box size limit!) Chris was on the forum a few hours ago, so still around, no problems there!

  8. The weather forecast at this stage (Thursday evening) suggest that it will be cloudy, warm (12 degrees) and just a chance of the odd shower in the morning so as we stand this event is ON FOR SUNDAY 12TH. Time to go and add a touch of tinsel to the car, excitement is building🎅

  11. This year our Christmas meal was held at the Hornsmill in Helsby. The food was lovely despite some confusion over what people had ordered! Thanks to everyone who came for making it a nice evening.

  12. thanks for the wishes, my sciatica set itself off and left me unable to walk or bend. although i will say now that no rules were broken and the lifting of heavy weights did not happen, although a video emerged this morning showing the carrying of said heavy weight and joking about it, this will be investigated...😛

  13. Don't forget the other half day you'll need to dry your right sleeve out. Weather kit only stops the downwards rain not the upwards spray off the front wheels 😀. Oh and the time spent cleaning. Did a 90 minute mountain bike ride yesterday, took me 25 minutes to clean the bike afterwards.

  14. We met at Quackers where it was only just not raining. @aeg and @Andy Westwood had better watch out, ABC had cake for breakfast and then proceeded to eat Christmas pudding with brandy sauce after lunch, so get in training boys for the summer. ABC with snickers cake, it's nice and chocolatey and then you get a nutty kick in the throat later, oh a taste sensation. We started our engines ready for the off, Glynn was not impressed at the sound of his new silencer but ABC's V8 engine does make us all feel a bit puny. We went through Bakewell for a pose (full of shoppers but quiet on the road, not like in the summer), up over the tops along the sweeping Bentley Brook road, through Dove Dale to land us at Wetton. It was wet in the air and the sun came out too, bizarre weather but it is December, it made the hills look quite lovely not that Glen was removing his glove this time to take any photo's, too cold for that malarky. The driving was fun being challenging at times having to avoid dead pheasants and oversized puddles on the cold, wet, bendy tarmac. Old School Tea Rooms, Wetton There was no doubt what we were having for lunch, everybody had the same, a Christmas cob followed by Christmas pudding and brandy sauce, what a nice surprise. Turkey, bacon, sausage and stuffing cobs with a side of cranberry, oooooo. But what's this? it comes with salad, you could have had some training @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO. ABC was very Billy Glynn, the one in a T-Shirt sat next to Billy, also in a T-Shirt, was disappointed again because he had his new electric gilet on but was too warm to use it. Really? it was freezing outside, I had everything on as usual. Christmas pudding with brandy sauce kept us all warm for the way home Home for the Westfield's was down the Via Gellia, through Matlock Bath and Matlock before splitting off. The Billy's went North in the warm Porsche with it's heated seats and roof. If the weather allows us to we will be doing the SANTA RUN next Sunday. Meeting at Ashbourne, 10am, dressed up really daft and ready to wave at the shoppers, if you are SORN don't be frightened to come just to wave us off.
