  2. Sorry for the large number of photo's but it was that kind of day. @Andy Westwood ,a very brave man I knew but I was not prepared for how cool he is. My prank was to drop a piece of wire with spade connectors attached into his footwell and proceed to ask him what might be wrong with his car. He very cooly replied that it would just be a test piece of wire that he had used recently when he installed a USB socket onto his dash. You were supposed to panic and wonder what it had fell off. So that's 2 to you Mr Westwood and I still need my revenge 😛 We met at Quackers and proceeded to eat cake and sausage rolls for breakfast On the big roads today, past Monsal Head and onto the fast bit where the Honda Hooligan from Barnsley had to show the Zetec how it is done. Really he needed a pee, he had mentioned that he was running short of dignity pants today. Through the pretty village of Castleton and up the Winnats Pass The post Winnats hairpin bend with it's ascending exit was ruined by a set of temporary traffic lights but gave us a rare chance to take in the views of the Great Ridge of Mam Tor Next was the scenic descent of Mam Nick see the paraglider on the horizon getting a birds eye view The Barnsley lot can't drive for more than a hour at a time so we had to stop at Bradwell to let them have a little rest. Parked at The Travellers Rest For a quick drink and to say our goodbye's to the Barnsley Mafia Very kindly Glynn took a photo of us too so I could be in it Next stop was Peak Rail and it's steam engine. It has a quaint cafe that is nice and quiet between trains so we had lunch there. Parked at Peak Rail Afterwards Glynn led the convoy South through Matlock Bath for home Andy and Sue headed towards Ca**ington and home Just leaving Andrew and us and it seems we can't quite get home without calling at Adam's Happy Hen's. A very guilty looking Andrew with 2 ice creams, wait until I see Clare Thank you to our Barnsley neighbours for coming over the border John and Jacky Des and Debs Thank you to our Southern neighbours for coming today (and to Andy and Sue not pictured) Ian and Ali Alan and Callan Glynn Thank you to all of you for making today a good laugh and I hope you enjoyed the route as much as we did. A few more random photo's

  3. Great run up A84, Glencoe and a lap of Loch Leven before heading home. The road round Loch Leven is tremendous if you ever get the chance.

  5. Thanks for another great run around the Peaks. Sue and myself had a great day and some new roads that I've not been on. So the wire was planted 😂 😂 I will need to keep my wits about me for the next meet. Nice to meet everyone hope you beat the rain home.

  9. Also took a few of the cars.. food stops were good, particularly enjoyed my pork and stuffing batch(cob) which apparently counts as a starter to tonight’s roast dinner. Was a really good day. Lovely to see everyone and meet some new faces.

  10. Without wanting to sound like a cliche, i never thought i would be writing this. I have owned this car for 17 years, and very much enjoyed everything about it, including this club! But, i find myself using it less and less. I have always fancied a V8 and miss our Defender, so have decided to buy or build a V8 Land Rover. This means the Westfield has to go, as apparently, i cannot have 2 toys! Current mileage is 20,870. It usually does about 800 dry miles a year. It lives in a carpeted garage and comes with two enormous history files and all previous mot certificates in my ownership. Engine/Gearbox 125 BHP Crossflow Twin 40s K&N filters Motad repackable silencer 4 into 1 Westfield manifold Power Vamp lightweight battery Valvoline 20w50 changed every spring Water pump and all coolant hoses replaced last summer Type 9 5 speed box. Brakes, wheels and tyres 4 pot calipers with drilled discs RS 2000 rear drums, always been fine as car is so light. Minilight style wheels with Yoke 185/60 x 13 tyres Suspension Protech adjustable shocks all round. Sorry, cannot remember the spring rates, they are whatever Protech Recommend. Corner weighted for a 75KG driver at Track Developments Body Very good considering it is nearly 30 years old! Some minor crazing around the wing mounts. There is a scratch on the offside wing. Nobody knows how it got there!!! When i bought it, i did not like the swept wings. So i bought a set of Tiger cycle wing brackets, light mounts and cycle wings. But i grew to like the traditional look, so have never fitted them. They will come with the car if the new owner would like them. I recommend keeping the traditional look, as they are few and far between now. Tillet style seats, which are surprisingly comfortable. I love the aeroscreen. There is much less buffeting than with a screen. However, if the new owner prefers a screen, the car will come with screen, fillet, wipers and doors. I also have the original alloy dash and carpets. Also welcome to have the fleece indoor fitted car cover. So there you have it. A good honest, genuine Westfield, which has spent its last 17 years being pampered by me. Mot'd a couple of weeks ago. Bad points? Well, the tyres, although having loads of tread, could do with being replaced due to age. They do not seem to be hard, but are a few years old now. I am asking £6,250 and will be genuinely sad to see it go. I have lots of spares/bits and pieces collected over the years that will come with the car if wanted. Also spare wheel and carrier. Cheers, James.

  11. My name is Colin, my best mate ex employee and just all round top bloke Jason of TD performance, bought his XTR2 around a year to 18 month ago, with him been a perfectionist where a car is concerned especially any of his track toys and this his first westfield and a beauty i think at that anybody that knows the car we would love to hear your stories we know it was previously supercharged but kept cracking manifolds, but the things that he wanted to get right he is nearly there with, one thing we could do with his healight covers or protectors. Jason aint to good on a PC and the online chatting stuff so with me sharing the same passion and been his passanger on just about all track days hes done around the UK and the nurburgring Germany. I relay and create the content for him, we probably may need a little help with the last few bits and we want to get this done soon, jason is in ill health with cancer and also had a recent hip replacement hes strong and determined so the fight is good but hes not sure how long he may be able to drive this. Thank you and hello hope i didnt go on to much above...

  18. Had another cracking day out in the peaks. Many thanks to Julie for all her efforts. Much appreciated! Ali especially enjoyed the day as she not only got to see more of the hills she so adores, but also Chatsworth house in the distance. Some great photo opportunities for her.
