  1. Hi all Being doing a bit of soul searching over the weekend and I cannot at this point bring myself to sell the car. Despite numerous potential buyers making contact with a few even offering to provide a deposit before seeing the car - I kept finding excuses for them not to see the car (just fitting a new starter motor, it's my lads birthday, busy at work, fitting a carbon fibre dash etc etc all true by the way). There's lots of great memories associated with car - the WSCC friends I have made, the road trips, Stoneleigh and the list goes on and on - and when I purchased the car in 2009 my kids were very young and so excited to see the car pull up on the drive! I have really enjoyed the time fettling over the last month getting the car for sale and I think the realisation started to kick in yesterday that I was actually going to be a but gut wrench to see the car go - so I am going to withdraw the car for sale for now and see how I feel about it when I got my list of fettling jobs done. Apologies to anyone who has shown interest in the car and I have not been as responsive as I should have been (hopefully the above sort of explains).

  3. With not much else happening in the garage right now while I wait for the welding on the chassis to be completed I’ve made a start on a few engine jobs getting it loosely built up.

  6. I think you’ve made the right call. Having regretted my sale and very fortunately being able to get it back, I would advise anyone who’s thinking of selling to have a real hard think before letting it go. Hiwever I don’t think you need all those 13” wheels 😉😁😂

  9. I had to use AutoAid about 3 years ago when my throttle cable snapped leaving Stoneleigh. They were there in 45mins, deliberated for a few seconds on whether they could fix it then took me home

  10. Yeah, mine was forty odd, with APlan. Actually had to use it this year, too. When my clutch slave cylinder failed completely up near the Cat and Fiddle, in the Peaks. Very good service, and recovered home on the truck of shame with no fuss.

  11. Thanks, but probably more down to the fact it was damn hot yesterday. Out of interest what tyres would people recommend for road and occasional track day ( bear in mind I have to drive it home after the track day). Here is a picy of me being brave.
