All propshaft bolts replaced now thanks. As well as the throttle cable after it left me stranded waiting for the AA man to come and rescue me..! Looking forward to seeing everyone (and obligatory cake) soon. Can’t do tomorrow though as I’m having my 5G chip installed2 points

Happy new year The SSOT have been working to develop a new beginners guide, there has previously been one in 2012/13 but was that outdated it was worth us having another go. This is not the exhaustive list of all requirments but as you will see this is aimed at giving a starting point rather than having to guide your way though the Motorsport UK Blue Book alone for the first time. if anyone need any further clarifications or have questions please ask via the hotline and the SSOT will do their best to answer and keep this document updated regularly with any changes as and when notifcation is recieved. upated 19.01.2021 to add new race suit approvals and towing point clarification. When you passed the Ponderosa? Did you not stop? Was the lure of a bacon bap too easy to resist? With a fried egg and brown sauce too? Maybe a sausage? No serious, dedicated, Westie driver could ever resist that.1 point

Yes. 😀. Based just north of Woodhall. There are others based in Bourne and Stamford etc. I normally try and join in with the Peak District trips as they are a really good bunch of people and there are regular trips organised. Takes a while to get to the start point but that can also be enjoyable. 😀. Always welcome to pop in for coffee or drop me a note if out and about. For me it doesn’t have to be a weekend - work for myself so can juggle days off.1 point

After a hectic couple of Months, work IT issues have reduced the work load pressure. Of course the music journey never stops, so after a hiatus you have 2 blogs in a week ! Dream Theater are American progressive metal 'giants' formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would eventually become Dream Theater. To date, Dream Theater has released fourteen studio albums. The Liquid Tension Experiment, an instrumental progressive metal supergroup, were formed by drummer Mike Portnoy after Magna Carta records gave him the green light for "whatever he wanted to do". The band comprised of Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Sons of Apollo), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), and Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel). Formed in 1997, the band released two albums – LTE 1998 / LTE2 1999. Due to Dream Theater ending up consisting of the 3/4 LTE members and the commitments of their main projects they did not record further work. Although they did performed as LTE in 2008 to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Portnoy’s split with his Dream Theater bandmates in 2010 seemingly put an end to any further LTE outings. Then 20 years later after Covid freed up their calendars they reconnected in the virtual studio and recorded LTE3 which was released April 2021. There is a very much more instrumental 'experimental' ‘jamming’ ‘improv’ approach creatively to the prog metal genre instrumentals, with dauntingly intricate, endearingly colourful and/or calmly melodic passages. This is especially evident on the bonus disk of their expanded LTE3 release. The band’s avant-garde side is further revealed by their reinterpretation of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue. Performed on past tours, on LTE3 they tear it apart over the course of 13 minutes, throwing away the instruction manual and proceeding to rebuild the parts with the carefree disrespect of such past progressive giants as The Nice and ELP.1 point

After my day yesterday it was a case of sitting down with a large whiskey. Oil pressure issues when I took it for an mot yesterday, I think it’s the sender unit and when I got home the coolant hose broke off my turbo covering me in hot antifreeze. hope I’m not off the road for too long.🤞0 points
