  1. .......the daily run-around is turning into a right old pig sty. Not much progress recently.... I've been busy accommodating these wee fellas, and fitting a 75m2 EPDM flat roof (minutes before the rain started). Must get back into the shed; summer's nearly here (or did I just miss it?)

  2. Try this link to bsau145d and the new bsau145e standards: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjm17_doKDwAhVsQEEAHVcLCasQFjAAegQIBBAD&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bnma.org%2Fadvice-centre%2Fkey-pieces-of-legislation%2Fbritish-standard-bs-au-145d%2F&usg=AOvVaw1FsJ3ppSPgXs40HuaedA_Z Try this guidance leaflet from DVLA: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/0-identification-of-the-vehicle Try this for the MOT regulations: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/0-identification-of-the-vehicle Do remember that the fact that a vehicle has passed an MOT, does not mean that the vehicle complies with ALL of the Construction and Use Regulations for use on the road as there are difference in the two sets of rules. Also factor in that some MOT testers do not apply the rules correctly, sometimes to the presenters benefit and sometimes not! In your case the black and silver number plates should always have failed an MOT, lucky you!

  8. Following the breaking and sale of my sprint car I have the following "left over"!!! 1 x Aluminium bellhousing for a Type 9 gearbox. It's from a Morgan... I never fitted it so it's in the same condition in which I bought it. NOTE... It's 150mm face-to-face depth which is right for the short input shaft type 9. £100 + P&P *Now includes a hydraulic clutch slave cylinder. SOLD Second, there is a steel "skeleton" flywheel with Pinto ring gear. This weighs in at around 3Kg's and when attached to the Cossie meant it revved like a bike engine, only better This will fit a Pinto or a Cossie and was one of the best mods I ever did. I put about 50 miles on this before I stopped sprinting and as I was in the road going class it didn't hasn't endured any abuse at all! £120 + P&P SOLD Finally there is a matching twin plate clutch WITHOUT friction plates. This is from Superclutch as can be seen. Again, about 50 miles and a decade or so of storage is all the action this has seen. Yes the surfaces of the intermediate plates could do with a good clean but apart from that it is in full working order. The closest thing I can find to this is from Quartermaster and they're over 500 quid, so £200 + P&P

  12. Yeah I think A-Plan are on a bit of mission to get kits back on the road post lockdown to be honest. My laid up insurance renewal was going to be £95, or I could get it back on a full road policy for £131 (so I did that to put pressure on myself to get it finished). Can't really complain at £2.50 per week.

  15. Very reluctantly up for sale is my custom 2004 350z GT. This car is immaculate and I don’t use that word lightly. It has been my pride and joy over the last 8 year of my ownership. I built this car to be a useable show car, I had the vision of OEM plus in mind throughout the whole build. This means I didn’t want to go over the top or put on massive rear wings, I wanted to take every small part of the car and improve it in one way or another. I have done over 45,000 miles and it has never missed a beat. It doesn’t burn/leak a drop of oil or water, and all the running temps and pressures are spot on. Not a penny has been speared to keep the car in top condition; I have always replaced parts at first sign of need rather than wait till they have broken. I can honestly say unlike other cheaper zeds this doesn’t need a penny spent on it. It hasn’t done many miles or shows over the past couple of years due to various life commitments. Last winter I spent time getting it ready to be used and showed again this year, however it seems I won’t have the time to display it therefore rather than it sitting in the garage for another year I would rather pass it onto someone to get the most out of it. It has just under 82,000 miles on the clock and is MOTed till the 16/04/2022 with no advisories and was last serviced 100 miles ago. It benefits from being a cheaper tax Model so £340 per year not £600 per year like others. There are 2 former keepers, and Full service history from Nissan and a 350z specialist (kaizer motors). It has always been run on shell V-Power fuel, kept garaged and never tracked. It is HPI clear and will be supplied with 2 original working keys. It is a solid car with no rust. I have spent in excess of £12,000 on improving and maintaining this car to the highest quality thoughout my ownership. It has just come back from the paint shop where the front bumper was sprayed to get rid of unavoidable stone chips and given a full detail, making it ready to hit the shows again this summer. Please see full specs below. Gt spec: Brembo Breaks Leather, powered and heated seats. Uprated T2 disc and ceramic pads all rounds. Teins 30mm lowering springs 4 wheel alignment done after springs fitted. New Michelin pilot sport 4 tyres rear fitted 2000 miles ago front fitted 750 miles ago. New battery fitted last year (Bosch S5 008) New clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder and braded line fitted at 68,645 miles (old one hadn’t failed but was doing a 3000 miles trip round Europe and wanted piece of mind for the trip). Cosmetic: Full custom respray, Azuer Blue but when the sun hits it there is so sparkle in the paint it is a real show stopper. (sorry the camera can’t really pick it up) Mines front lip moulded to the bumper Led DLR’s Nismo Side skirts Chargespeed rear bumper Aero rear spoiler. Rolled rear arches LC 818 19” wheels in black oak brown. Uprated boot struts New very high quality matts Sony Bluetooth head unit (original Bose one can go with the car if I can find it in the loft) Bad bits. There really aren’t any, I really can’t stress enough how high the quality of this car is. It just needs someone who has the time to drive and enjoy it. If I was being really fussy there is a small hair line crack in A pillar above the passenger door. Was cracked when I have a new windscreen fitting a few years ago (please see pic). Price £8495 Located near Maidstone , Kent. I have tried my best to cover everything but please feel free to PM me any question you may have and ill get back to you. Thanks for looking, Dan.

  20. I never had to brung my Westie for one, but I always used DJK auto services for my other vehicles. He's not a garage that does repairs - literally only does MOTs, but I always found him to be totally fair, as he's not going to fail anything so that he gets to charge for a repair.
