Picked up westie last week, and spent this week getting to know it. Hoping for a good run Sunday to really experience car. Previous owner gave me a box of bits which included a brand new K&N filter still in box and recharge kit. Thought - I’ll get that on right away as existing filter was filthy. Took me an hour after removing jubilee clip to remove using feeler gauges as it was “welded” with age to Air inlet housing. No wonder mew filter was still in box. Oiled new filter, and when dry, Test drove it, what a difference.

Was going to put a Sam Smith tune because he’s a great big PU..........never mind 😂

Ive also always been a Ford man, Had a Kuga before and was fantastic, I near done a deal on another a few weeks ago, Was going to part ex my Focus ST but the Kuga had sold, It was 2 years old with 14k, For the same money i just traded the ST in for an Audi Q5 and just luv it, Pure Quality, Its the 190hp S-Line with all the black edition bits and bobs, Only thing i went another couple years older and few more miles on the Q5 as i had a budget to stick to.

Took the car for its first real run out today. Early start to get past Loch lomond before all the camper vans wake up. The prettiest Road to nowhere Castle stalker

Thanks - took some doing as I felt it was prudent to build a test server prior to the update. That took way longer that I'd hoped, but with literally MILLIONS of posts on here, I didn't want to take any chances on it all going horribly wrong!

Is it not like all elections.... You like non of them, but vote tactically to keep the one you hate most out. It was hard enough to believe that out of 66 million people we didn't have a better choice ourselves... but out of 325 million surely.

Just remembered, I had a short drive in a Merc GL A (I think) diesel. Really really nice and the gearbox was truly surprising. I popped it in manual and had a bit of a go and it was ace, close enough for to consider that maybe auto's aren't so bad after all. I must be getting old...

September 5th, 2020 Spend: £23.78 Bought a new Racetech rear view mirror as the one I had bought previously was a convex glass (wrongly advertised as flat glass) and it looked like every car behind me was up my *rse. September 12th, 2020 Spend: £0.00 Had the tiniest of coolant leaks on the thermostat bypass side. Emptied it of coolant and investigated, but can't see where it is coming from, other than assuming it comes from the weld on the aluminium pipe. Have ordered a new reducer hose and will remove part of the pipe to eradicate it. Also, having now passed the venerable age of 50, it is time for something different. September 17th, 2020 Spend: £4.61 Reducer arrived, so fitted it straight away. Filled up with coolant and let the car warm up whilst squeezing the hoses. Will check tomorrow again for leaks. September 18th, 2020 Spend: £0.00 Pleased to report that the leak has now been resolved. September 20th, 2020 Spend: £0.00 Went for a drive with Q-jr and then arranged to meet up with Jody's dad at the pub to have a good look over his Seight. 🥰 the noise 🥰 September 21st, 2020 Spend: £0.00 MOT time...
