I'm unlikely to make this one, so feel free to hide other people's bits @Julie Hall - Peak District AO but don't ever forget that Bagpuss always sleeps with one eye open 😉 Have fun all!2 points

I’m incredibly fortunate to have met you Andy and promise to take care of that wonderful machine for years to come! I’m sure the smiles on my kids faces when I got it home matched Anna’s 5 years ago and plenty more smiles are on the way!! Hopefully catch up with you at Stoneleigh!1 point

I have to reverse park very carefully, I have taken the pee out of 'Wing Commander Bagpuss' so much that I am in for it if I so much as get a light scratch on my wing. Magnet not required for wings 😇1 point

I'm sure we witnessed a similar number of shunts with a car trying to reverse into a space at the Bull I Thorn last weekend.... I'll of course mention no names as I'm a gentleman but they may have later misplaced their ignition key 😂1 point

I won't be able to make it on Saturday this week as my weekend good behavior pass was only valid for Sunday I'm afraid.... Have fun, look forward to the photos! 👍1 point

Plenty rubbish TV on but what a refreshing change last night's ITV 1 hour devoted to an extraordinary, rollercoaster life in The Life & Times of Captain Sir Tom looking at the first 100 years of an amazing life. IIRC correctly ITV are repeating it on the 18th and also available on ITV Player. Worth the licence fee and recommended.1 point

? is the giant at Cerne Abbas, the A352 from Sherborne to Charminster is a nice drive in a Westfield . Between Weymouth and Swanage there are some excellent beaches - although likely to be very busy. From Cheddar take the B3135 (through the gorge) and then A39 to Wells, then Glastonbury, Street, to Crewkerne then A356/A3066 to Beaminster if you want to go through the tunnel.1 point

I’ve not been for years, I must admit, but Bovington Camp used to be great to visit, if you like military vehicle collections, mind you, I bet you don’t get to ride about the place on the tanks, like you used to, when I was a kid!1 point

Hopefully I can make this run if I get my cycle wing support back and then fittted. I've had a new one from Westfield delivered today but they've sent me the wrong one. I will call them tomorrow and try and get this sorted. I even sent them photos of the broken one at their request, but never mind.1 point

Random thoughts: Cheddar can be busy to say the least! There’s a nice circular walk around the gorge which tends to be less busy, strenuous but good views. Heading south from Cheddar, couple of places to consider, Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford, and just to the west, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. Nice route to the south to the coast from Crewekerne to Bridport (and West Bay) on the A3066, including Beaminster tunnel. The Crown Inn at Bridport (our monthly meet venue) is always welcoming, and does good “pub grub”. B3157 from Bridport to Weymouth via Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury is a pleasant road with nice elevated views of the channel. If you’re going to Weymouth, personally think the Isle of Portland is worth a look. Nice walks and good views particularly looking north west along Chesil beach. As said, New Forest is picturesque, beware the widespread 40mph speed limit. Turfcutters Arms at East Boldre is a nice pub, good food and beer with accommodation, close to Beaulieu. Stayed there several times in our motorhome. Enjoy your break. Might not know the answers, but feel free to shout if you’ve got any questions.1 point

And of course, as can be seen in the preceding photos, with three bolt wheels, some have a single bolt at the top, two underneath, and some have two bolts to the top, one below! Its never easy, is it, when trying to make universal parts! if both 3 hole PCD’s are the same, might be easier to make it a six hole, so that the buyer can decide which “way up” they want the three they will use!1 point

Am now sorted. A friend of a friend was selling an 8 month old one of these https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6XE62EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB Its immaculate, still has 28 months warranty and was just about half the price of new. Its a cracking bit of kit and I'm debating keeping it and giving her the old one as I've not told her I've got it yet..........1 point

Sad day for me, (Anna’s not that impressed with me either because of this) but a good day for @AngliaWestie! Met half way to exchange my car for his cash............caught a glimps of him pulling out of the services As I was ordering a coffee and my heart sank a little wondering if I’ve made the right decision to let it go after 5 years. Just has a text saying how happy he is, so I feel a bit more upbeat now knowing it’s gone to a good home. This chapter now closed, I’m still staying here though, because I’m still not done, we’ve got a Stoneleigh to volunteer at next year 😀0 points
