  4. "Use (a) straw, dear Bernie, use a Straw - A STRAW!" (apologies to Harry Belafonte). Apropos the bleedin' obvious, the 'experts' were pontificating ad nauseam about how useless - counterproductive, even - face masks were in the early days. It seemed obvious to me that while masks are pretty useless as protection for the wearer, but that they are very useful to prevent an infected wearer from gobbing virus particles at others. Try spitting at someone whilst wearing a mask! Why did it take so f*****n' long for the common sense to dawn? 😷

  6. To be fair I'm certain it wasn't a scam, however I wasn't comfortable with having a complete stranger at my house knowing just his first name, and him wanting to drive my car (alone due to 2m social distancing), in doing so I wanted to know how he would have fully comp insurance to do so, which led me to have dig deeper and find dubious facts which when I presented to the original contact I was told that because I didn't trust them the sale was off. Actually I'm quite happy, I've been out a few times in the car since and glad I've decided to keep it.

  9. Here’s a few pictures and dimensions of my seat. As you ca see the bottom of the seat is level with the base mount so with the padding it’s roughly 15-18mm to the lowest part of the seat. My runners are 25mm. From the upper edge of the bodywork (where you get in) to the floor it measures 360mm. Hope this helps, if you need to know any more just let me know 👍🏼

  20. This one is on runners, the deepest part of the seat is 30mm above the floor. As I said, without runners I think you are pretty much sitting on the floor. Jim It will be worth confirming with the others' measurements, designs can change in small companies like that.

  21. I have JKs with lowered floor. One side on runners and the other straight to floor so I can get both measurements for you 👍

  22. Recently returned member living In Henley in Arden, Warwickshire, needs details of a garage who could check my car over, MOT and undertake some minor modifications. It is a 1992 SEi with 1700 X flow but has been in secure storage for the past 6 years.I work away from home so time is my big problem. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

  28. Shall we ask for some sort of club sponsoring? By the way... rules aside... how many garages will we have? I booked 1 on my own... just in case... and i think each few bookings they give you a garage for the groups? IF we do hit 20 cars from the WSCC in the day, I´ll do 20 stickers to celebrate the post-apocaliptic trackday.

  30. Tbh, I reckon I could attend a trackday .. park up in the far corner of the paddock and keep myself to myself.. but for me trackdays are more than just the driving. I do enjoy a wander round the paddock having a poke around the cars and a bit of a chat? Wouldn't be the same. Make the most of it chaps, I cant see it lasting for long. Liking the "life experience" bit too Adam. 😄 He wasn't old .. he died of an overdose of life experience? 😄
