  1. Had a great run out today, empty twisty roads and perfect weather! Six hours of blatting and hardly any traffic. But don’t tell everyone!

  2. A great big thank you today to Trevor and Ian for fitting their Westfield life in between all their other family commitments, it was great to see you both. As it was Stuart, Dave, Martin and Sue, Dave and Sylvia in the Westfields, Paul in the VX and Michael from the Burton Car Club with his Dino. What a great turn out, commiserations to those that could not quite make it, there is always next time. Down in the paddock things were very slow and Matthew had only had 1 practice run on a slightly slippy track, so we never got to see him in action. The Zetec boys and the Honda boys Not a bad car park Dave and Sylvia arrived to show us their new Omex Throttle Bodies that they are very impressed at, very impressed. Dave told us that although it only gave him 25 more hp, it was the increase in torque that made the power difference and he changed gear less now too. (2 litre Zetec) I need to be a bit girly for a moment, he had lovely seats with matching green piping, not that I am jealous, no, not at all I booked us a train carriage for lunch at 1.15pm and off we went, diverting round for a bit of the wiggly tarmac, to arrive at the restaurant. The view out of the train window was quite a good one Dave excitedly told us about his build as we ate our meals, these stories need writing down and publishing, it's the bits that don't quite go to plan that are the best bits. Otherwise it would simply be, once upon a time I bought a kit, knocked it together and IVA'd it, the end. The stationary train After lunch we took to some more nice roads, cough, yes Mr Eastwood, had our fun and arrived at our very favourite Hulme End for some of the home baked sugary stuff. This one was a new recipe with plums and custard in a sweet pastry served with cream. Al fresco dining overlooking the cars, a perfect end to a perfect day, thank you to everyone for making today fantastic

  5. I have two vastly different wheel sets for my car. For the street I use 13x7 Revolutions with 205/60-13 Toyo RA1's. When competing I use a set of Real Racing Wheels in a 13x10 with 21x9x13 Avon slicks. One set rides very nicely and handles very well....the other set rides very poorly but sticks like glue. Both are fun. dave

  6. Pre Westfield ownership, I didn’t own a tent or had any intention to own one and the thought of camping was the furthest from my list of things to do; however three Stoneleighs in I can’t believe it’s been a week already and I wish I was setting up camp to do last weekend all over again.

  8. As they were given to me for me to build my kit I’d like to pass these on to another member who may find them of use. A set of 4x shock absorbers I got from @Trevturtle for a widetrack setup. Set of 15” wheels and tyres I got from @Quinten Uijldert - Northants AO Include wheel nuts. Both are free to a club member on the understanding that when you are finished with them that you also pass them on. Would prefer collection from Sutton Coldfield.

  10. Building yourself shopping around for parts, and using some slightly used parts then you could knock off 10k off the lower discounted price. Just depends on how much you value your time I suppose. I agree 36 or even 32k is too much. I'd buy the f type aswell and stick a sporty exhaust on it, They sound dirty But if your in the market you could do worse than @Stuart Faulkner - Shows & Events Coordinator immaculate mega s2000 In the classifieds and save yourself 10 grand.

  19. This really is an awesome car. The level of development to make this an 'out of the box' class winning car has been immense, so whatever Maurici is asking for it, it will be money well spent. Might help to chuck out a number to draw people in?
