  1. Yep. Mirrorless M3 are an issue. It looks like someone found a car very simmilar to mine yesterday... Thanks Andy for the pictures. I went home quite frustrated and dissapointed with the behaviour on track, and on the Garages of some people that shouldn't be allowed to share public facillities with normal people. Good point is that my car worked faultlessly, new setup looks promising, and carbon bits are still in place!!

  2. Turn your sound up and listen to these. Angry Lambo's, N/A engines to die for. Listen to hear who lifts on the bends. Totally brilliant and is every year

  5. You know how it is, The upgrades started arriving before the car, but ssshhh, she won't notice. She certainly won't take a picture and send it to me on Whastapp asking me if I'm single handed supporting the post office next pay rise.

  6. I dont' think my heart could stand it. Rather than risk my motor I have just booked a hire car with RSR - Megane RS265 in right hand drive - 349 euros (huge excess mind you if the worse was to happen but considerably cheaper than the loss on mine - however if you just damage it you only pay for the damage)

  9. So far the commonest suggestion is pork based stuff. And if we are including ham in that I have on more than one occasion finished off a packet of ham because it had been open too long. And 'too long' as in 32 minutes...

  10. which car is that? mines never crashed, spun, driven on wet or in grass... Yep. Setup looks good. is a bit more critical to drive on the edge and you need to react really really fast to catch it, but looks promising.

  13. Well, we had a good day, eventually. It must have been getting on for 11am when the fog lifted! :-( Afternoon was glorious sunshine. Opentrack made up some lost track time by having a very short lunch hour, so by the end of the day I'd used the usual amount of fuel.

  16. There is way too much of the Schumacher's about Vettel these days. No denying their ability, but their tactics stink. Got what he deserved for that schoolboy error. Shame about Max & Kimi and particularly Fernando though. Also a shame to see that Ferrari International Assistance is still ruling the roost. They hand out grid penalties like sweeties for next to nothing...unless the car is bright red. If Vettel wasn't driving a red car he'd have enough points for a ban by now.

  17. So Saturday morning we headed off for Wrynose and Hardnott Passes taking in the Inner passes circuit again. Those that know them will know how incredible they are. 30% gradients and hairpin after hairpin on a single track road. They are that good we did them another 3 times Saturday morning before heading off for the Honiston pass and back to Keswick. Sunday was a loop round the Lake District via Matterdale End, Trout Beck, Ings, Lowick Green, Torver, Broughton, Duddon Bridge, Wasdale head to see Scarfell Pike and finally Loweswater. Today we headed home from Keswick to Alston up the Hartside pass and then down the Pennies to Bernard castle for a quick break. That B roads is amazing. Thanks to @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO for sending me routes to give us a fab run through the Dales home via Tan hill Inn, Keld, Hawes, Oughtershaw and Kettlewell. Then heading home south to Brum is a bit of a blur to be be honest as we were both knackered but it was fun. Our Westy has now clocked over 9000 miles since May on our road trips driving possibly the best of all the roads the UK has to offer and we have been from Lands end to John O'groats and from East to West several times. We have drenched it in biblical rain in Scotland, Baked it in Wales that hot week we had! and taken it up climbs 4x4 struggle with and motorbikes give up and go back down and once in a while drove it like we stole it! It is with out doubt the finest piece of machinery we have ever owned, no matter what we put it through she keeps going and taking the abuse and we have not had one breakdown thus giving us the greatest memories and experiences. It is indeed a testament to qualities of Westfields but more so the build quality of John Crane who built her in 1998/99. John sadly is no longer with us but if you are looking down from where ever Mrs P is still doing you proud. Mrs P is becoming a legend in her own life time, we just just have to work out where and when next!
