Hi all, As a new and first Westfield owner I thought I'd say hello. I've been on the site for quite a while, not posting a deal but an avid reader absorbing all the Westfield info I can whilst looking for a car. The good/bad thing with these cars IMHO is there is so much choice in particular engines. I just narrowed it down to what I wanted to do with the car and what would keep my attention. So, I'm now the proud owner of Steve's Sport 250 as per attached link. I tried to put my sensible head on and buy a lower budget car but this just ticked all the boxes so the rest was a pretty easy decision. Thirteen hour round trip but great car and nice bloke so all was worth it. Car now lives in the Midlands and I will try to get to some meets, mostly work away in the week so limited as to what I can do. So, I'm sure you want to know what's my thoughts re the Sport 250 performance? Well, I have owned a supercharged Ariel Atom for the last 3 years and this is its replacement. Why you may ask? Because the Atom ties up a lot of money and are mega expensive to maintain amongst other reasons. Back to the Westfield ................ I certainly didn't step from the Atom to the Sport 250 and notice a massive difference in power. I was really impressed with the torque and mid range grunt. This is a VERY rapid car which I know will keep me interested. It reminds me of my Focus RS with turbo dump valve, lots air intake noise and a surprising loud/deep stock exhaust. Its early days and TBH I need to get to know the car, its characteristic's and generally learn how to drive it. I've got a few changes in mind probably over winter. I've always enjoyed tinkering which also drew me to these type cars. If it aint broke fix it Chris2 points

Just a quick update and new question. So I now have everything built and electrics sorted. I had 2 Cat6 outdoor cables run at the same time in case I wanted to run a Balun HDMI signal from the house but in the meanwhile I have one of these connected to my network as to get internet to the amp/device for streaming music/video. My question is: what would be a good outdoor wifi hub for connecting one of these cable to allow wifi access down the garden as the home Wifi is getting weak to non existent there? I was looking at something like this but I'd like it as simple as possible: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Waterproof-Installation-Controller-EAP110-Outdoor/dp/B01N4EGN6H/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504002374&sr=8-2&keywords=outdoor+wifi+access+point Any advise?2 points

Thanks again all for the welcome, hope to get out on some runs and meet up. Hi Steve, genuinely pleased and impressed with the car. I'm amazed at how much torque it has, leave it in 5th gear at 50mph then floor it and it just kicks hard and goes! As you say, nothing wrong with the r1r's they do what they need to do in most whether conditions but with the shear grunt of the Sport 250 a stickier second set will be on the cards for dry play days.1 point

doesnt look like they do 600 though so youll end up buying the 1000 and cutting it down i couldnt be bothered with doing that as i needed 600 but it is alot cheaper if it fits your application1 point

To be a little clearer......If you are on slicks then you WILL need a vehicle passport ( easy to get one) If running list 1C tyres then if car is presented in Road Legal Condition you would not need one1 point

£18 plus carriage is a better deal. Just slide the tube out the middle, slide the silencer end on and slide into the outer silencer and bolt up https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/6-silencer-wadding-refill1 point

I've always done it head first, twist, sit on the transmission tunnel, bring legs in a slide down into the seat. If you try to do it as per normal car, you end up in a right mess, because shockingly it's not a normal car.1 point

Craig, mines exactly the same it's the perforated pipe at the rear. The front is welded but the rear just is pushed in, I've silicone mine in with high temperature silicone several times. I also had it so it sounds like I had a bag of bolts in there, which was the exhaust past that had gone hard & fell into the can.1 point

So we have: Me Dave Ken Rob Jim And possibly Banshee. That's a team, so I will book/pay £299 tomorrow. If we get a few more, I will book a second place. Kev1 point

Thanks. It's certainly not the cat as that is located in the link pipe between the manifold and the silencer. Well technically that's where the cat goes, it's actually on the garage shelf as I run a decat pipe.1 point
