  1. My understanding is that owners of kit cars are legally required to avoid the direct route home from the grocery store.

  2. At Ravenscar Tea Rooms you can look at both your car and the sea as well as eating cake, I think that is called 'multi-tasking' If the Tea Rooms is closed just up the road is the Raven Hall Hotel, which also has good views and parking. 3. In the 1980s, rallying was more popular than Formula 1. 'Group B' machines had taken the world by storm, and were among the most exciting cars to ever hit the motorsport scene. Manufacturers scrambled to build more powerful cars to be driven by fearless mavericks who could handle the extreme power. However, the unregulated mayhem would end abruptly in 1986 after a series of horrific tragedies. On now , Yesterday Repeats Mon 14th 3 - 4 pm and 12.20 = 01.20

  4. Over the past 5 years or so a European trip have been completed. This year is no exception so we @marcusb with Nakki and @Terryathome with Caroline are at it again. Cars will be, Marcus in his FW 2.0L Zetec powered blue cruser complete with carbon cycle wings (hope they stay attached on this trip) and myself in FW 2.0L Mega S2000 with a slight half hood zip situation that I hope to correct before the trip. It is our intention to update this post as we go along (Wifi access permitting) with interesting and not so interesting snippets of our "Squeaky Spanners Euro Tour 2017" will explain the "Squeaky Spanners" bit in a later post as need to find the video which will enlighten you. To start with is the route. We depart on the 12th and return in the UK on the 26th August 2017 staying at 8 hotels & 1 Farmhouse. Most are 1 day stops but we do have multiple days at a few locations, the best one being a farmhouse (with pool) similar to the one in Pisa last year which was fansastico (excuse my Italian lingo) So there you have it, will update as and when we have anything to report

  10. Let's hope the factory take Thrustyjust's suspension experience and improvement on board. Oh and happy birthday. Looking at the Elise looks like a 1.8 £44k model needed for similar performance to the 250 sport--similar price tag for the Atom. Looking at the 420 Caterham, £31k factory built but check the additional costs like standard paint £1250, weather protection £1250, widebody £2.500 see http://uk.caterhamcars.com/sites/default/files/content/270-310-360-420_price_specification_v1.6.pdf and price can jump up.

  12. Well, just back for a 90 mile blat with me and the latest wife. Was epic. A great birthday treat for me , for her to say lets go for a spin in the car. The car was utterly fantastic. We hit some really rubbish roads over the Chilterns towards and beyond Christmas Common, Watlington, Benson, Wallingford, Wantage and home. I was able to chuck the car into fast corners and it stayed tight. Didnt wallow, dump the back end into hollows on the road was totally composed. The front seems pretty tidy and never had an issue, but the rear squirmed previously and now shows none of those issues and gave me more and more confidence the more I drove it. Its a different car with just the rear spring change , which isnt a factory adjustment. The only real issue was that the wife complained that having her hair done yesterday ' was now considered a waste of time and money'
