  1. Saturday to Monday as us North East guys add some class to the proceedings I've even considered tenting it again and I will partake in a beverage this year as last year a drop never passed my lips! Chris/boys, Im going to trailer the car down so theres plenty space in the truck if you want anything transporting down.

  3. My coins flipped the other way.. I take my westfield, missis takes the tintop , we take one of our kids in each. We all put our names down to help for a bit so we all get in free!! We can then all camp free!! We all get fed and waterered by WSCC Sat BBQ and Sunday hog roast free! We take some other food /drink with us, so the weekend main cost is just the fuel :-)

  4. Believe it or not there are only 8 weeks left until Stoneleigh 2017. You're not coming I hear you say, Get to your room and don't come out until you've seen sense. Its going to be a good one because you lot will be there. It doesn't work without you.

  6. Mr Nunn will have to renew his expired WSCC membership first! If the rest of you want to have a whip round, I can make it impossible for him to do until after the Friday Speed Series deadline. I can do it quietly and he'll be Nunn the wiser.

  11. Had a drive to the pub this morning to try out the breakfast with @Rickyboy100, it was raining, so the Westfield's stayed at home. Good sized car park, with plenty of seating outside if the weather is good. A full English is £6.99, and it's not too bad either, there's also bacon and sausage sarnies on the menu. Lets hope the weather is good on the 19th, and hope to see you there.

  12. We decided on 8 min changeovers. If we did longer stints, we may have been a lot further up the list, maybe knocking on your door . Like I said on Saturday, we were aiming on grid reversal............. Do I need any more excuses ? .............. oh and watching some of the stick insects sipping a dribble of mineral water was pushing the geekness a bit far. We were starving and the chips were great

  13. Sunday volunteering for me too, probably in the tin top though as it will stop me fretting about weather, parking, security, driving home in the dark etc etc. This will be my first time too.

  14. When the wife boots me out I think I'll buy an old bus. Make a garage at the rear. Some solar panels on the roof and a Rayburn in the middle. What more could a man want

  15. I've seen a few Luton conversions that work well. When you get to the track take the car out and then sleep in the van, mind you can do that with a covered trailer. And has already been said a covered trailer will certainly hold it's value well, especially if you buy nearly new so it's lost the first hit.

  22. I have seen a chassis, and I would buy it now if only I could source the bits to make it a nice car reasonably, unfortunately for me the budget is small and finite, despite the desire to say "to hell with it and spend" which is my usual default position. Engine wise i don't want a racing spec, i would like an easy going set up with mild performance. Ian

  23. I found exactly the same, I don't know what it is about the tarmac they use there! Slightly damp and I had a big spin at about 80mph once, lucky not to damage the car. I think it's a great track.

  24. Well, I am over the moon with the fact that after several months of hard work putting everything back together in my Westy she has passed with flying colours! On the flip side I am absolutely gutted I need to leave her with my parents in the Scottish Borders and get the bus home due to a mega down-pour of Snow! Talk about mixed emotions!
