OK gang, here's one for you attending Silverstone to consider. I had this info come through:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enter the Concours d'Elegance and represent your car club.
A big part of the success of the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival is down to the enormous support of the car clubs. An exciting new addition to this year’s programme at the Silverstone Classic is the Concours d'Elegance supported by Classic & Sports Car magazine, which provides a chance for car clubs to take centre stage.
Cars entered, along with their car club details, will be featured on the Silverstone Classic website and will be shortlisted by a leading panel of judges which already includes F1 car designer Tony Southgate, TV Personality and Wheeler Dealer, Mike Brewer, as well as representatives of Classic & Sports Car magazine. Nominations are now invited from all classic car clubs registered to attend the 2016 Silverstone Classic. Each club may enter one car into each of the following three classes.
1. Concours d’Elegance The car which most embodies the spirit of the classic era in the composition of the body work, paintwork and upholstery.
2. Original and/or Unrestored Classic Car The car which most accurately represents the specification of the vehicle when new, in every detail. This may be an unrestored vehicle.
3. Historic Classic Car Award The car with the most impressive provenance in either continuous ownership or historic connections. All cars entered in to the above will also be judged for the following classes:
4. The Judges' Special Award An award with no specific or technical criteria but awarded to the car selected as the Judges’ favourite of the day for whatever reason.
5. The Spectators' Special Award As voted by the public at the event and via the Silverstone Classic website during the lead up to the event. Voting will continue until 12 noon on the Saturday of the Silverstone Classic, 30 July 2016.
6. Longest Distance Driven to the Event Classic car travelling longest distance to the Silverstone Classic under its own power.

Owners of nominated cars must be in possession of a weekend admission ticket to the event and an infield car club display vehicle pass.
Organisers will contact owners and the relevant car club co-ordinator of those cars shortlisted by Friday 1 July 2016. These cars must be on display at the Silverstone Classic (29-31 July) for all three days for spectator voting - if not possible, the owner must contact the organisers and their club. On Sunday 31st July, they will be displayed in a prominent location near the Village Green of the event for the award announcements.
