A beautiful sunny day at Gurston today,filled with the usual highs & lows of Westfield ownership, fantastic drives by Barry, Pete, Howard & Keith Both Barny & Paul suffered engine failures, hope there soon sorted guys It's not been plain sailing for me either with alternator issues and constant missed gears too, oh and a go pro thats got a mind of it's own Anyway here's my T1 38.28 not my best run, but the best I managed to get on video. T2 was slightly quicker at 37.96

Started the new body panels, blue and black lego bricks are a lot more popular than green so I have made good progress Side panel drivers side minus exhaust cut outs (zetec): Black rear arches and blue/black tub sides on, testing scuttle ready for fw bonnet, Ive not taken engine out yet still working on options FW bonnet work in progress trial fit, hinge mechanism not sorted yet !

Hello all, My name is Darren and I have just purchased a 2002 Westfield GTZ (no 8). What an awesome machine,should have done it years ago .Only had a couple of blasts but really looking forward to summer .

I am sure someone on here that has been before and is there next weekend will post up. Try and meet up and walk the hill etc with them. WSCC Speed series folk are all friendly and helpful

Cons--car vinyl seats burning in summer and freezing in winter; having to do hand signals during the driving test for indicating ie. turn left/right/slow down (and nowt to do with the popular hand signals too often seen on todays roads); servicing every 3000 miles and still no guarantee of reliability; smog. Pros--very simple motors and few tools needed; able to enjoy clear, uncongested roads which were maintained in a good condition.
